Abstract
Perusahaan Flat Glass (PFG) merupakan sebuah perusahaan yang memproduksi kaca lembaran dengan proses pengambangan (floating process). Perusahaan ini memiliki tiga jenis produk kaca lembaran (indo clear, panasap dan stopsol). Perusahaan Flat Glass (PFG) berupaya untuk menghasilkan produk bermutu tinggi. Dalam memenuhi permintaan, perusahaan ini memproduksi kaca lembaran di line produksi A1 dan line produksi A2. Namun, proses produksi tersebut masih menghasilkan produk defect yang tinggi. Perusahaan ini telah menetapkan Key Performance Indicator (KPI) mengenai tingkat kecacatan yaitu maksimal sebesar 4.48% dari jumlah produksi perusahaan. Akan tetapi, tingkat kecacatan masih melebihi target tersebut khususnya di line produksi A1. Jenis kaca Light Green Flat Glass (LNFL) merupakan produk yang dihasilkan dari line produksi A1 dengan tingkat kecacatan melebihi KPI. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan sigma level, didapatkan nilai hanya sebesar 3.63 sigma. Dari analisis pareto chart didapatkan tiga jenis defect kritis yaitu cullet defect, chipping defect dan bubble defect. Masing-masing jenis defect kritis tersebut dicari akar permasalahannya menggunakan Root Cause Analysis (RCA) dan dicari akar permasalahan kritis menggunakan Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Kemudian, dilakukan usulan-usulan perbaikan terhadap akar permasalahan kritis. Lalu, menentukan target perbaikan serta membandingkan sigma level antara kondisi eksisting dan target perbaikan.

Perusahaan Flat Glass (PFG) is a company that produces flat glass with a floating process. The company has three types of flat glass products (clear float glass, colored glass and reflective glass). Perusahaan Flat Glass (PFG) stives to produce high quality products. In fulfilling the demand, the company produces flat glass on A1 production line and A2 production line. However, the production process still produces high defect products. The company has set a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) on the level of disability that is a maximum of 4.48% of the company's production. However, the level of disability still exceeds the target, especially in the production line A1. The type of Light Green Flat Glass (LNFL) is a product produced from A1 production line with disability level exceeding KPI. After the calculation of sigma level, obtained a value of only 3.63 sigma. From pareto chart analysis obtained three types of critical defect namely cullet defect, chipping defect and bubble defect. Each type of critical defect is searched for root causes Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and sought the root of critical problems using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Then, proposed improvements to the root of critical problems. Then, define the improvement targets as well as compare the sigma level between the existing condition and the improvement target.
