Abstract

In the development of technology, there are many ways that can be used to dissipate the earthquake energy or force that striking the buildings. One of the new technologies that can be implemented in Indonesia is the base isolator. The principle of base isolator is by reducing the building stiffness without reducing the resistance of the structural members such as columns and beams. The design of the building is not only using the base isolator, but also analyzed with the nonlinear time history analysis (NTLHA). By using the NLTHA, it is proven that it gives more accurate results since with NLTHA does not only calculate in the elastic phase, but also in the plastic phase. In the final project, the design of concrete structure complies with SNI 2847:2013. Gravity load such as dead load and live load is assigned based on PPIUG and SNI 1727:2013.
