Abstract

Dalam menjalankan bisnisnya, perusahaan manufaktur seringmengalami tantangan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas proses produksi. Dalam proses produksi, perusahaan dihadapkan pada tuntutan peningkatan produktivitas. Begitu juga yang terjadi pada PT. ABC yaitu industri kemasan yang menggunakan teknologi rotrogravure printing. Dalam pengamatan lapangan awal produk kemasan (packaging) terdapat beberapa kendala, yakni produk kemasan mengalami pemborosan. Hal ini menyebabkan perusahaan mengalami kerugian sebesar Rp 227,583,319.00 dengan data kegiatan produksi selama empat bulan dalam proses produk fine flexible packaging. Penelitian ini akan membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi perusahaan, yaitu dengan mencari penyebab pemborosan tersebut. Untuk mengetahui aktivitas perusahaan secara keseluruhan, diidentifikasi dengan menggunakan big pitcure mapping. Aktivitas pemborosan diidentifikasi dengan menggunnakan value stream mapping, process acyivity mapping dan borda count methode dipergunakan untuk menentukan permborosan kritis pada lantai produksi. Hasilnya pemborosan terbesar di PT. ABC yaitu waste defect dan waiting. Metode 5 why’s dipergunakan untuk mencari penyebab pemborosan (waste). Berdasarkan root cause analysis dan fishbone diagram permasalahan produk cacat (misprint, bergaris dan tidak standar) paling dominan disebabkan oleh para pekerja yang kesulitan dan sering lalai sehingga di rekomendasikan untuk membuat SOP (Standard Operational Procedur) dan intruksi kerja. Penyebab waste waiting yang paling dominan adalah mesin berhenti. ========================================================================= In conducting its business, manufacturing companies often experience challenges to improve production process activities. In the production process, companies are faced with increasing productivity demands. So also happened to PT. ABC is a packaging industry that uses rotrogravure printing technology. In the initial field observation of packaging products (packaging) there are some obstacles, namely packaging products experiencing wastage. This caused the company to incur a loss of Rp 227,583,319.00 with data of production activities for four months in the process of fine flexible packaging products. This research will help solve the problems faced by the company, namely by finding the cause of the waste. To know the overall activity of the company, identified by using big pitcure mapping. Waste activity is identified by using value stream mapping, process acyivity mapping and borda count methode used to determine critical degradation on production floor. The result is the biggest waste in PT. ABC is waste defect and waiting. Method of 5 why's is applied to find the cause of waste. Based on root cause analysis and fishbone diagram of defect product problem (misprint, striped and not standart) the most dominant cause is the poor understanding of working methods of workers. So it is recommended to implement SOP (Standard Operarional Procedur) and IK (Work Intruction). The most dominant cause of waiting problem is the frequent machine down time.
