Abstract

Terdapat empat terminal peti kemas domestik di Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak yaitu Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia (BJTI), Terminal Peti kemas Surabaya (TPS), Terminal Nilam dan Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL). Lokasi terminal tersebut berdekatan satu sama lain sehingga memiliki hinterland yang hampir sama dan menyebabkan persaingan antar terminal. Sebagai pengguna jasa terminal petikemas domestik memerlukan beberapa pertimbangan dalam memilih terminal yang akan digunakan untuk mendapatkan pelayanan terbaik dengan harga terjangkau. Oleh karena itu, Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang mempengaruhi pengguna jasa dalam pemilihan terminal, mengidentifikasi faktor yang mempengaruhi daya saing terminal, membandingkan biaya yang dikeluarkan pengguna jasa dalam memilih keempat terminal tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam Tugas Akhir ini adalah perbandinggan fasilitas dan kapasitas yang dimiliki masing-masing terminal terhadap DOC kapal per hari untuk pemilik kapal dan inventory cost per hari untuk pemilik barang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang berpengaruh dalam daya saing adalah produktivitas bongkar muat (BSH), jumlah tambatan, kapasitas lapangan penumpukan, dwelling time dan tariff. Terminal yang paling kompetitif untuk kapal dengan ukuran 0-3.500 GT adalah Terminal Nilam. Terminal yang paling kompetitif untuk kapal dengan ukuran 3.501-8.000 GT adalah Terminal BJTI Barat. Terminal yang paling kompetitif untuk kapal dengan ukuran 8.001-14.000 GT adalah Terminal Teluk Lamong. Terminal yang paling kompetitif untuk kapal dengan ukuran 14.001-18.000 GT adalah Terminal BJTI Timur. Terminal yang paling kompetitif untuk kapal dengan ukuran 18.001-40.000 GT adalah Terminal Teluk Lamong.

There are four dedicated container terminals which are located in Tanjung Perak i.e. Berlian Jasa Terminal Indonesia (BJTI), Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS), Nilam Terminal and Teluk Lamong Terminal (TTL). Due to these terminals are located in the similiar area, affect on the same hinterland they have. Thus, it make competition among them. As a user of container terminal requires some considerations in order to select the best terminal in term of service and price. Therefore, this study aims to identify the factors that affect the selection of the container terminal from user point of view, to find out the factors that influence the container terminal, and to compare the total cost occured as an impact on selecting the container terminal. The methods used in this study is the comparison between facilities and capacities for each terminal towards daily operating cost and inventory cost. The results show that the main factor that influence the container terminal competitiveness are loading and unloading productivity (BSH), the number of berth, the capacity of container yard, dwelling time and tariff. The most competitive container terminal for ship with size 0-3.500 GT is Terminal Nilam. The most competitive container terminal for ship with size 3.501-8.000 GT is Terminal BJTI Barat. The most competitive container terminal for ship with size 8.001-14.000 GT is Terminal Teluk Lamong. The most competitive container terminal for ship with size 14.001-18.000 GT is Terminal BJTI Timur. The most competitive container terminal for ship with size 18.001-40.000 GT is Terminal Teluk Lamong.
