Abstract

Brown’s Gas atau HHO merupakan gas hasil dari proses pemecahan air murni (H2O) dengan proses elektrolisis. Gas yang dihasilkan dari proses elektrolisis air tersebut adalah gas Hidrogen dan Oksigen, dengan komposisi 2 Hidrogen dan 1 Oksigen (HHO). Gas HHO kemudian dicampurkan dengan bahan bakar lainnya pada kendaraan di ruang pembakaran. hasil pembakaran dari pencampuran dengan gas HHO dapat mengurangi tingkat polusi. Pada tugas akhir ini akan dilakukan pengendalian laju produksi gas HHO menggunakan generator type dry cell dengan variasi tegangan 3 volt, 6 volt, 9 volt, dan 12 volt . Dimana semakin besar nilai adc potensiometer maka gas HHO yang dihasilkan akan semakin banyak sehingga pemakaian energy pada kendaraan akan lebih optimal. Pada plant pengendalian laju produksi brown’s gas memiliki 5 set point yaitu 0,2 l/mnt; 0,35 l/mnt ;0,45 l/mnt ;0,55 l/mnt ; 0,7 l/mnt dengan settling time masing-masing set point sebesar 100s, 280s, 300s, 260s, 300s. Adapun error steady state pada masing-masing set point adalah 5%, 2,8%, 3,3%, 2,3%, 4,8%. ======================================================================== Brown's Gas or HHO is the result of pure water (H2O) process by electrolysis process. Gases generated from the process of electrolysis of water are Hydrogen and Oxygen gas, with composition 2 Hydrogen and 1 Oxygen (HHO). HHO gas is then mixed with other fuels on vehicles in the combustion chamber. Combustion results from mixing with HHO gas can reduce the level of pollution. In this final project will be controlling the production rate of HHO gas using dry type cell generator with variation of 3 volt, 6 volt, 9 volt, and 12 volt voltage. Where the greater the adc potentiometer value the HHO gas produced will be more so that the energy consumption in the vehicle will be more optimal. In the controlling plant the production rate of brown's gas has 5 set point that is 0.2 l / mnt; 0.35 l / mnt; 0.45 l / mnt; 0.55 l / min; 0.7 l / min with settling time of each set point of 100s, 280s, 300s, 260s, 300s. The steady state error in each set point is 5%, 2.8%, 3.3%, 2.3%, 4.8%.
