Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengestimasi biomassa atas permukaan tanah, stok karbon, dan potensi sekuestrasi karbon dari berbagai tipe habitat terestrial di Kabupaten Gresik secara non-destructive. Sampling lapangan dilakukan pada 36 titik yang tersebar di empat kecamatan di Kabupaten Gresik yang dianggap representatif terhadap empat jenis habitat, yaitu habitat hutan produksi, hutan kota, pertanian lahan kering, dan pertanian lahan basah. Diameter tanaman diukur berdasarkan habitus dan diekstrapolasi menggunakan persamaan allometrik untuk mengetahui nilai biomassa. Nilai biomassa yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis untuk mengetahui nilai stok karbon dan sekuestrasi karbon. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa nilai biomassa, stok karbon dan sekuestrasi karbon dari yang tertinggi ke rendah secara berurutan adalah habitat hutan produksi (174,66 ton/ha; 82,09 ton/ha; 301,27 ton/ha), hutan kota (138,50 ton/ha; 65,09 ton/ha; 238,91 ton/ha), pertanian lahan kering (134,59 ton/ha; 63,26 ton/ha; 232,16 ton/ha), dan pertanian lahan basah (108,57 ton/ha; 50,88 ton/ha; 186,73 ton/ha). Nilai biomassa, stok karbon, dan sekuestrasi karbon di habitat terestrial dipengaruhi oleh ukuran diameter tanaman. ============================================================ The objectives of this research are to estimate the above-ground biomass, carbon stock, and carbon sequestration potential from the various types of terrestrial habitat in Gresik Regency. Sampling was conducted at 36 points that spread across four districts in Gresik Regency which represent of four habitat types, namely production forest habitat, urban forest, dryland farming, and wetland farming. Plant diameter was measured based on the habitus and extrapolated using allometric equations for biomass. The obtained biomass values were then analyzed to determine the value of carbon stock and carbon sequestration. Based on the results, the above-ground biomass value, carbon stock and carbon sequestration from the highest to low are the production forest habitat (174,66 ton/ha; 82,09 ton/ha; 301,27 ton/ha), urban forest (138,50 ton/ha; 65,09 ton/ha; 238,91 ton/ha), dryland agriculture (134,59 ton/ha; 63,26 ton/ha; 232,16 ton/ha), and wetland agriculture (108,57 ton/ha; 50,88 ton/ha; 186,73 ton/ha). The value of biomass, carbon stock, and carbon sequestration in terrestrial habitats influenced by the size of plant diameter.
