Abstract

Garcinia tetrandra Pierre (wadung) merupakan salah satu famili Clusiaceae yang berpotensi sebagai sumber penghasil senyawa-senyawa santon. Tiga senyawa santon berhasil diisolasi dari ekstrak pekat metilen klorida kayu dan kulit akar dari Garcinia tetrandra yaitu α-Mangostin (1), Rubrasanton (2) dan Maclurasanton (3). Metode ekstraksi menggunakan pelarut metilen klorida dan fraksinasi dilakukan dengan kromatografi cair vakum, kromatografi kolom gravitasi dan kromatografi sistem radial atau kromatotron serta kromatografi kolom sephadex. Pemurnian dilakukan menggunakan metode kristalisasi dan rekristalisasi. Titik leleh masing-masing senyawa yaitu 177-178°C (1), 202-203°C (2) dan 197-198°C (3). Pembuktian senyawa murni dilakukan dengan tiga sistem kepolaran masing-masing dengan noda tunggal. Penentuan struktur dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan data dari spektrum UV-Vis, FT-IR, 1H-NMR dan 13C-NMR. ====================================================================================================== Garcinia tetrandra Pierre (wadung) is one of the Clusiaciae family that has potential as the source of the producer of xanthone compounds. Three xanthone compounds, α-Mangostin (1), Rubraxanthone (2) and Macluraxanthone (3) was successfullly isolated from wood and root bark of Garcinia tetrandra Pierre. The method of extraction was conducted using dichloromethane as solvent and was fractionated using vacuum liquid chromatography, gravity column chromatography, chromathotron and sephadex column chromatography. The purification of compounds were done using crystalitation and recrystalitation methods. The melting point of each compounds were 177-178°C (1), 202-203°C (2) dan 197-198°C (3) respectively. Proof of pure compounds were carried out by three systems of polarity with a single stain. The structures were elucidated by spectrum of UV-Vis, FTIR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR.
