Abstract

Heat exchanger merupakan suatu media penukar energi panas antara dua atau lebih fluida dengan suhu yang berbeda. Dalam suatu sistem pembangkit,heat exchanger banyak ditemui misalnyaeconomizer. Economizer terdiri dari pipa-pipa air yang disebut tube. Tube memiliki peran penting untuk meningkatkan effisiensi economizer. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan variasi sudut pitch tube yang melewati serrated fin tube dengan variasi kecepatan inlet 5 m/s dan 7 m/s. Sudut pitch tube merupakan suatu susunan peletakan tube berdasarkan sudut yang berhimpit diantara inlet gas dengan pitch tube. Sudut pitch tube terdiri dari sudut 300,450,600, dan 900 yang memiliki pengaruh pada jarak transversal (ST) dan jarak longitudinal (SL). Penambahan serrated fin tube ini berfungsi untuk memperluas area perpindahan panas, sehingga akan mempercepat proses perpindahan panas. Dari hasil simulasi didapatkan kecepatan maksimal dan perpindahan panas paling besar terdapat pada susunan sudut pitch tube 300. Hal ini terjadi karena susunan sudut pitch tube 300 memiliki jarak transversal (ST) yang paling kecil. Sehingga memiliki nilai kecepatan maksimal paling besar yang menimbulkan turbulensi pada area sekitar serrated tube yang dapat membantu proses perpindahan panas akan maksimal. ================================================================================================ Heat exchanger are a media of heat energy exchangers between two or more fluids with different temperatures. In a generator system, heat exchangers are commonly found example economizer. Economizer consists of water pipes called tubes. Tube has an important role to increase economizer efficiency. In this research, variation of pitch tube angle across serrated fin tube with variation velocity inlet 5 m / s and 7 m / s. The pitch tube angle is a tube layout based on the angle among inlet gas and pitch tube. The pitch tube angle consists of 300,450, 600, and 900 which has an effect on the transverse distance (ST) and longitudinal distance (SL). The addition of the serrated fin tube serves to expand the heat transfer area, so thatadvace the heat transfer process. From the simulation results obtained the highly velocity maximum and heat transfer in the arrangement of the pitch tube 300. Because the arrangement of the angle pitch tube 300 has the smallest transverse distance (ST). So that has the maximum maximum speed value that cause turbulence in the area around the serrated tube that can help the process of heat transfer will be maximized.
