Abstract

Alarm system dapat didefinisikan sebagai sinyal yang mengindikasikan tidak normal, atau kombinasi kondisi yang memerlukan perhatian operator. Bitumen plant gresik merupakan perusahaan distributor aspal yang menyalurkan aspal yang berasal dari PT.Pertamina RU-IV cilacap dan luar negeri untuk memenuhi kebutuhan aspal di wilayah timur. Dalam menjalankan prosesnya yaitu proses penyimpanan dan penyaluran aspal dalam bentuk drum dan aspal curah, terdapat parameter yang perlu dijaga, yaitu parameter temperature dan pressure, flowrate, dalam existing keadaan di bitument plant gresik belum ada alarm system yang berfungsi dalam memberikan warning kepada operator jika terjadi keadaan tidak normal. Maka dilakukan perancangan alarm system yang dilakukan berdasarkan studi Hazop (Hazard and operability). Kategori bahaya ditentukan berdasarkan risk matrik. Berdasarkan hasil Hazop adapun bahaya yang masuk dalam kategori tinggi more pressure dan less temperature, di tangki penimbunan yaitu, di pipe line tangki to pump dan pump to filling, serta di pump sation. Alarm High pressure aktif ketika mencapai set point diatas 6 kg/cm2. Dan alarm low temperature aktif dengan dibawah 120oC dan diatas 135oC untuk alarm high temperature. Hasil simulasi respon waktu delay untuk temperature transmitter didapatkan 1.8 s dan untuk pressure transmitter = 1.7 s

The alarm system can be defined as a signal indicating abnormality, or a combination of conditions requiring operator attention. Bitumen plant gresik is an asphalt distributor plant that distributes asphalt from PT.Pertamina RU-IV cilacap and abroad to meet the needs of asphalt in the eastern region of Indonesia. In the bussiness making process of storage and distribution of asphalt in the chain of drums and bulk asphalt, there are parameters that need to be maintained, the parameters of temperature and pressure, flowrate, currently in existing circumstances at gresik bitument plant there are no alarm system functions that provides warning to the operator in case of Abnormal state. The alarm system is designed based on Hazop (Hazard and operability) study. Hazard categories are determined based on risk matrix. Based on the Hazop results, the hazard is included in the high pressure and less temperature categories, in the stockpiling tanks, in the pipe line of the tank to pump and pump to filling, and in the pump sation. High pressure alarm is active when reaching set point above 6 kg / cm2. And active low temperature alarm with below 120oC and above 135oC for high temperature alarm. The simulation result of delay time response for transmitter temperature is 1.8 s and for pressure transmitter = 1.7 s
