Abstract
Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan perencanaan dan pengendalian jadwal pembuatan basic design dan gambar produksi pembangunan kapal baru dengan metode simulasi. Pertama, dilakukan survey untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis gambar basic design dan gambar produksi kapal tug boat. Kedua ditentukan jumlah staf desain yang dibutuhkan untuk membuat basic design dan gambar produksi. Ketiga, dilakukan perencanaan dan pengendalian jadwal pembuatan basic design dan gambar produksi dengan metode simulasi menggunakan microsoft project. Terakhir, diestimasikan biaya pembuatan basic design dan gambar produksi berdasarkan hasil simulasi. Dari tugas akhir ini, didapatkan hasil bahwa proses pengerjaan basic design dan gambar produksi pada kodisi optimis menggunakan 23 staf membutuhkan waktu penyelesaian 98 hari, sedangkan dengan 28 staf membutuhkan waktu 79 hari. Pengerjaan basic design dan gambar produksi pada kondisi pesimis menggunakan 23 staf desain memerlukan waktu 139 hari (6 bulan 10 hari) sedangkan proses desain dengan 28 staf memerlukan waktu 119 hari (5 bulan 11 hari). Untuk mendesain kapal tug boat 2 x 1200 HP dalam waktu 6 bulan memerlukan staf desain sebanyak 28 orang dengan total 13.440 jam orang.

The main objective of this final project is to plan and control the schedule of basic design and production drawing for new shipbuilding using simulation method. Firstly, basic design and production drawing activities were observed. Secondly, the number of design staff was estimated. Thirdly, the schedule of basic design and production drawings was simulated for planning and controlling activities using microsoft project software. Finally, the cost of basic design and production drawing was estimated based on simulation result. From this final project, we got the results that the process of doing basic design and production drawing at optimistic condition can be completed in 98 days by using 23 staff or 79 days by using 28 staff. Otherwise, the process of doing basic design and production drawing at pesimistic condition can be done in 139 days (6 months and 10 days) by using 23 staff or 119 days (5 months 11 days) by using 28 staff. In case of designing a tug boat 2 x 1200 HP within 6 months requires 28 staff with the total of 13.440 man hours.
