Abstract
Sidafur merupakan salah satu produk PT. Petrosida yang cukup diminati di pasaran. Bahan baku utama produk sidafur ini adalah pasir vulkanik. Selama ini tidak semua bahan baku yang datang diperiksaan. Hal ini dikarena keterbatasan waktu, biaya dan sumber daya manusia. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sampel untuk menggambarkan kualitas bahan baku. Sampling yang tepat akan mengurangi kesalahan pengambilan keputusan penerimaan ataupun penolakan bahan baku. Terdapat tiga kriteria kualitas pada pasir vulkanik yaitu jenis pasir, kadar air dan ukuran butiran. Pada penelitian ini diusulkan beberapa rancangan sampling. Rancangan sampling tersebut antara lain rancangan sampling atribut, rancangan sampling variabel dan rancangan sampling gabungan independen (Independent Mixed Sampling Plan). Diantara rancangan sampling yang telah dibuat, rancangan sampling variabel dengan menggabungkan kedua kriteria kadar air dan ukuran butiran lebih optimum dibandingkan dengan rancangan sampling yang lain.Sehingga dapat disarankan untuk menggunakan rancangan sampling variabel dengan menggabungkan kriteria kadar air dan ukuran butiran dalam pemeriksaan kualitas pasir vulkanik.

Sidafur is one of the best selling product PT. Petrosida in the market. The main raw material sidafur is the volcanic sand. During this time, raw material that came at PT.Petrosida not all inspected. Raw materials that came not all were inspection because limited of time, cost and personil. Therefore the sample is needed to describe the quality of raw materials. Proper sampling will reduce eror decision or rejection of raw materials. There are three quality criterias on volcanic sand. There are type of sand, moisture content and grain size. In this research saveral sampling plans are proposed. There are attribute sampling plan, variable sampling plan and independent mixed sampling plan. Based on these sampling plan, we can be concluded that variable sampling by combine moisture content and grain size is more optimum than the other sampling plans. So that, it is recommended to use vari-able sampling by combine moisture content and grain size for checking volcanic sand’s quality based the theree criterias set by company.
