Abstract
Tuberkulosis paru merupakan penyakit menular yang menyerang
paru-paru karena disebabkan oleh infeksi bakteri Mycrobacterium tuberculosis. Laporan tuberkulosis global WHO pada tahun 2015 mengatakan India, Indonesia, dan China memiliki kasus tuberkulosis paru tertinggi di dunia. Provinsi Jawa Timur menempati peringkat dua di Indonesia,
dimana Surabaya menjadi kota yang memiliki kasus uberkulosis
paru paling banyak di Provinsi Jawa Timur. Diabetes melitus dan tuberkulosis memiliki hubungan yang erat karena diabetes merupakan penyakit kronik yang berkaitan dengan gangguan fungsi imunitas tubuh,sehingga penderita lebih rentan terserang infeksi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka diperlukan penelitian mengenai kedua penyakit ini. Pada
penelitian ini dibahas mengenai pemodelan mengenai penderita tuberkulosis paru dan diabetes melitus di Kota Surabaya menggunakan regresi logistik biner bivariat tetapi tidak diperoleh model karena tidak terdapat hubungan secara statistik antara tuberkulosis paru dan diabetes, sehingga dilakukan pemodelan secara univariat untuk penyakit tuberkulosis paru diperoleh faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan yaitu usia, jenis kelamin, kepadatan hunian rumah, ventilasi rumah, serta kepemilikan WC, sedangkan untuk penyakit diabetes secara univariat tidak terdapat variabel yang berpengaruh signifikan.

Pulmonary tuberculosis is an infectious disease which attacks the lungs caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. WHO report about global tuberculosis 2015 said India, Indonesia and China was the country which has the highest cases in the world. Jawa Timur was the second province which Surabaya is the highest city which has pulmonary tuberculosis cases. Diabetes mellitus and pulmonary tuberculosis have a close relationship, because diabetes is a chronic disease associated with immune problems, so that diabetics are more susceptible to infection. Based on this, research is needed based on both disease. In this research
discussed about the modeling of patients with pulmonary
tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus in Surabaya using binary bivariate logistic regression but did not get the model because there was no statistically correlation between pulmonary tuberculosis and diabetes, then the univariate modeling using binary logistic regression for pulmonary
tuberculosis factors which have significant effect are age, gender, home density, home ventilation, and ownership of toilet, while the univariate modeling for diabetes mellitus there is no variable which have significant effect.
