Abstract
Permasalahan yang umum dirasakan petani ikan gurami adalah bagaimana meningkatkan efektivitas usaha agar dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani gurami. Salah satunya adalah bagaimana melakukan pemberian pakan ikan secara rutin dan terjadwal tanpa menggunakan tenaga manusia untuk menghemat ongkos budidaya. Proses manual saat ini yaitu dengan menaburkan pakan ke permukaan kolam ketika masuk waktu makan bagi ikan. Apabila pemilik kolam berhalangan mengurus kolamnya maka pertumbuhan dan kesehatan ikan dapat terhambat.
Sebagai solusi permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan alat yang dapat mengotomatisasi pemberian pakan ikan, yang dapat berjalan secara terjadwal sehingga dapat membantu mempermudah budidaya ikan tanpa bergantung pada tenaga manusia.
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terciptanya sebuah alat pemberi pakan ikan otomatis untuk membantu menyelesaikan masalah pemberian pakan pada pembudidayaan ikan gurami. Sehingga pembudidayaan menjadi lebih efisien dan para petani ikan menjadi lebih sejahtera, serta dapat membantu meningkatkan produksi pangan nasional.

A common problem that is encountered by gourami fisheries is how to increase the productivity of their business so that their prosperity increased. One of the problem is how to feed the fish automatically and scheduled periodicaly without human power to economize fish raising cost. Current manual feeding process is by sowing the fish food on the pond’s surface when fish feeding time came. If the fish raiser/pond owner cannot look after his pond, then the fish growth could be slowed.
Therefore, as a solution to this problem, we need a machine to automate the fish feeding and water circulation that can run periodically and scheduled so that the gurami fisheries could run without depending on human resources.
The results of this final project is an automatic fish feeder system to help solving the problem on gurami fisheries. Finally, we hope that the fish raising process became more efficient and the fish raiser prosperity is increased, and also able to help increasing national food production.
