Abstract

Berdasarkan letak geografis wilayah Indonesia sebagian besar terdiri dari lautan dan hanya 1/3 berupa daratan. Berdasarkan alasan tersebut system ketahanan laut sangat penting untuk menjaga kedaulatan NKRI. Guna mencapai tujuan tersebut, kemandirian teknologi baru peralatan utama system persenjataan atau alutsista perlu di kembangkan. Salah satunya pengembangan system propulsi yang mampu bekerja secara efisien (aspek hidrodinamika) pada kapal - kapal patroli penjaga perairan Indonesia. Maka, dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu desain sistem propulsi yang cocok dengan kapal patroli tipe 60m. sehingga bisa di standartkan ukuran utama kapal dengan system penggeraknya. Penelitian ini di laksanakan melalui beberapa tahapan, di antaranya mendesain sistem propulsinya dengan di hitung secara perhitungan numerik dengan MaTLAB yang akan di gunakan sebagai analisa awal performance dari desain yang telah di tentukan. Setelah itu dilaksanakan penedakatan experimental dengan uji open water propeller di laboratorium BTH. Sehingga dari hasil uji tersebut di ketrahui secara pasti bahwa, hasil desain propeller symmetrical balde mampu mendorong kapal patrol 60m pada sarat dan kecepatan yang telah di tentukan. ================= Based on the geographical location of the Indonesian territory consists mostly of oceans and only 1/3 of land. Based on these reasons the system of marine resilience is very important to maintain the sovereignty of NKRI. In order to achieve these objectives, the new technology independence of the main armament or weapon system equipment needs to be developed. One of them is the development of a propulsion system capable of working efficiently (hydrodynamic aspect) on patrol boats of Indonesian waters guard. So, in this study aims to produce a propulsion system design that fits with the type 60m patrol boat. So that it can be standardized the main size of the ship with its propulsion system. This research is carried out through several stages, including designing the propulsion system by calculating numerical calculations with MaTLAB which will be used as an initial analysis of the performance of the design that has been determined. After that experimental approach was carried out with open water propeller test in BTH laboratory. So from the test results are known for sure that, the design of symmetrical balde propeller is able to push the fast patrol boat 60m on draught and the speed that has been determined
