Abstract
Namun ada beberapa negara yang mengalami penurunan IPM yang berdampak pada menurunnya jumlah fixed broadband ============================================================ Broadband technology becomes a global trend of data communications which are adopted by many countries. It’s indicated by the increase of total fixed broadband from year to year. Asia has a high growth rate in this modern era. In addition, Asia is also has a potential market for international trade, both between countries in the region and the others. However, it’s not apart from high broadband penetration. The purpose of the study is modelling and forecasting total fixed broadband in 35 Asian countries by using panel data regression. The study yielded the best model is Fixed Effect Model (FEM) Cross Section Weight (WLS) which has 99.82% value. The model shows that an increase in HDI will boost the increase of total fixed broadband up to 17.95%, as well as the increase in population density per km2 also will boost the increase of total fixed broadband up to 1.83%. The forecast results of total fixed broadband from year to year in some countries has increased. Total fixed broadband increased along with the increase in HDI and population density per km2. However, there are some countries encounter a decline in HDI that affects the decrease in total fixed broadband.
