Abstract

=====================================================================

One of the most important components in geothermal power plants are steam ejector Kamojang, where this component is a unit of gas removal system (GRS), it serves to maintain the vacuum in the condenser. In the area of geothermal steam containing non-condensable Kamojang gas (NCG), which can not be condensed in the condenser and the resulting increase in pressure by the gas. Gases that can not be condensed in the condenser will result in increased pressure by gas, this causes the falling value of the turbine work PLTP.
The problem in this thesis is to apply the appropriate method on modeling, making the problem formulation and apply the appropriate method in optimizing the performance of steam ejectors. Steam ejectors have been used in geothermal power plants Kamojang, but when the operation may be operated at different operating conditions with the design, the optimization of steam ejector is mounted needed. In the steam ejector is necessary to optimize the three components include: models of steam ejectors, problem formulation, and optimization techniques. The model used in this thesis is a model with ARMAX structure. ARMAX chosen because of stable structures. The optimization method used in this thesis is the Taylor series expansion method. Taylor series expansion method chosen because it is able to determine the value of the maximum capacity of noncondensable gases (NCG) in the limit operating conditions, in order to obtain the value of the maximum capacity of cleaning water equivalent (DAE) resulting in flow ejector.
Maximum capacity noncondensable gas (NCG) of 4189.8 kg / hr which can be inhaled steam ejector and a maximum capacity of cleaning water equivalent (DAE) of 6276.0 kg / hr resulting in flow ejectors, vacuum pressure means that the condenser can be maintained the amount of 4189.8 kg / hr of steam ejectors NCG smoked and the amount of 6276.0 kg / hr capacity DAE resulting in flow ejector.
