Abstract

===============================================================================================
Gili Iyang island is the island with the highest oxygen levels in the world. It has enormous potential
in the development of environmentally friendly tourism ship. Supported by the geographical
location of Indonesia, located in the equatorial regions, which means it has abundant solar energy
compared with other countries. This final project aims to develop the existing modes of transport
vessel by utilizing solar energy as a source of energy driving the machine. From the shape of the
hull which operates in the area Gili Iyang’s waters, obtained the value of the total resistance (Rt
= 13.79 kN) with the help of CFD simulations. After that, power calculation and selection of
electric motors is needed. From the roof of the building over the area can be calculated there were
20 pieces of solar panels that can be fitted with the amount of power generated at 1465.868 Watt.
The amount of power is still not able to drive an electric motor that requires 73.5 kW. With all the
re-powering installation devices (electric motors, solar panels, battery) that is already installed
then ship tourism can be analyzed stability with some conditions.
