Abstract

Seringnya terjadi kerusakan pada tube bundle heat exchanger hingga tidak bisa dipergunakan untuk berproduksi sesudah dilakukan aktivitas maintenance. Salah satunya adalah karena penggunaan tube bundle extractor yang tidak memenuhi standard ketekhnikan yang baik dan tidak adanya kajian risiko kegagalan dalam pengerjaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan prioritasi pemilihan Tube-Extractor dan kajian kegagalan potensial pada tube extractor sebelum dimulai pekerjaan.
Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk prioritasi pengambilan keputusan pememilihan tube extractor adalah pendekatan Analytic Hierarchy Process yang merupakan salah satu metode “Multi Criteria decision making” dan untuk kajian kegagalan potensial dari tube-extractor terpilih menggunakan Failure Mode And Effect Analysis. Ditetapkan tiga alternative, empat kriteria dan tujuh sub kriteria oleh ahli. Permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut didekomposisi dan dibuat dalam struktur hirarki keputusan. Selanjutnya dibuat matriks berpasangan untuk menilai tingkat kepentingan kriteria/sub kritria satu lebih penting dari kriteria/sub kriteria lain. Kriteria-kriteria, Sub-sub Kriteria dan alternative-alternatif yang memiliki priority vektor yang tertinggi dan Consistence Indexs (CI) < 10% menjadi prioritas pertama untuk dipilih.
Untuk mengetahui penyebab kegagalan maka dilakukan analisa kapabilitas prosses terhadap tube bundle heat exchanger dan dadapatkan rasio Cp sebesar 5,04 artinya bahwa kemampuan proses optimum (Cp > 1), Rasio Cpk sebesar 2,86 artinya proses sudah sesuai dengan batas spesifikasi. Analisa kegagalan potensial pada produk tube-extractor didapatkan empat sub system yang memiliki Risk Priority Nunmber (RPN) > 200 sehingga dilakukan perbaikan dengan menambahkan peralatan prevention control dan detection control sehingga RPN dapat diturukan dan tube extractor terpilih direkomendasikan untuk dipergunakan pada proyek penggantian 6 buah tube bundle heat exchanger di PT XYZ Energy.

Frequent damage to the tube bundle heat exchanger that cannot be used after maintenance activities. One of the problems is that the use of a tube bundle extractor that does not meet good engineering standards and the absence of risk assessment of failure in the working process. This study aims to prioritize Tube-Extractor selection and potential failure studies on tube extractor prior to commencement of work.
The approach used to prioritize tube extractor decision making is the Analytic Hierarchy Process approach and to study potential failures of selected tube-extractors using Failure Mode And Effect Analysis. Three alternatives are defined, four criteria and seven sub criteria by the expert. These problems are decomposed and made in the hierarchical structure of decisions. Subsequently, a pairwise comparison matrix is made to assess the importance of criteria / sub criteria one more important than other. The Criteria, Sub-Criteria and Alternatives with the highest priority vector and Consistence Index (CI) <10% are the first priority to be selected.
To find out the cause of failure then do analysis of process capability to tube bundle heat exchanger and get ratio of Cp equal to 5,04 meaning that process capability is optimum (Cp) > 1, Cpk ratio equal to 2,86 mean process is in accordance with limit of specification. A potential failure analysis of the tube-extractor product was obtained by four sub-systems that have Risk Priority Number (RPN)> 200 so that it was repaired by adding prevention control and detection control equipment so that RPN can be degraded and the selected tube extractor was recommended for use on the replacement project of 6 tubes Bundle heat exchanger at PT XYZ Energy.
