Abstract
Proses pengkajian
teknologi baru disebut Technology Qualification (TQ).
Proses pengkajian dilakukan
dengan metode numerik dengan bantuan beberapa software komputer. Beberapa
analisa yang dilakukan yaitu analisa motion response, analisa chain tension, analisa
kekuatan struktur dan analisa stabilitas lambung SPM. Analisa dilakukan terkait
Sedangkan berdasarkan analisa SPM
memenuhi kriteria stabilitas, baik intact stability maupun damage syability.

Single Point Mooring (SPM) is one of types mooring and oil transfer
technology at the sea. New technology of SPM is evolving with the development of
oil exploration technology. The new technology contains innovative aspects wich
have not been regulated by existing standards, therefore, it is can not be assessed
with common certification procedure. Assessment needs to be conducted to ensure
that new technologies can be implemented safely and reliable. The assessment
process of new technology called Technology Qualification (TQ).
New technology qualification procedures of SPM is developed from
guidance issued by DNV, LR and ABS. The qualification process carried out by
numerical methods with the used of computer software. Several analyzes were
performed, such as motion response, tension chain, structural strength and stability
of SPM hull. The analysis were carried out related to the application of octagonal
hull form SPM which is considered as new technology.
Application of octagonal shape of hull on the SPM is acceptable, because
it has met the criteria established technology qualification. From the results of the
study is known that the maximum tension that occurs in SPM chain leg is 157 725
tons. The tension does not exceed the breaking load of the chain that is used. The
maximum stress that occurs in the SPM structure is 205 MPa, do not exceed the
allowable stress of the material used. Meanwhile, based on the stability analysis,
stability of the new SPM still comply the stability criteria, either intact stability and
damage stability.
