Abstract

=========================================================================== Synthesis of sodalite from Bangka Belitung kaolin was aimed to study the ability of sodalite to adsorb Pb2+. The sodalite was analyzed by FTIR, XRD and AAS. The amount of adsorbed Pb2+ and its removal value (%R) were measured using variation of adsorbate concentration, which is ranged between 50 untill 200 ppm. Contact time was as well, varied from 0 to 60 minutes. As the time of reaction, the amount of adsorbed Pb2+ were escalating. As the concentration of adsorbate increased, its removal value (%R) were declining. As a result, sodalite was able to adsorb Pb2+ 556,64 mg/g and 99,328% as % removal in 30 minutes using 50 ppm adsorbate concentration.
