Abstract

Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP). Tetapi penggunaan bersama
mikron. Pengujian yang dilakukan setelah dilakukan aplikasi
coating maka spesimen API 5L Grade B yang digunakan
dilakukan pengujian adhesi awal untuk mengetahui kekuatan
lekat awal dari cat sebelum dilakukan pengujian cathodic
disbonding. Pengujian cathodic disbonding dan pemeabilitas
dilakukan didalam larutan NaCl 3,5% selama 28 hari untuk setiap
variasi tegangan. Dari hasil Pengujian didapatkan nilai diameter
disbonding paling besar yaitu 32 mm terdapat pada tegangan
proteksi -1,5 volt dengan ketebalan 150 mikron, sedangkan
disbonding paling kecil terdapat pada tegangan proteksi tanpa
arus dengan ketebalan 200 mikron sebesar 3,3 mm. Untuk nilai
daya lekat paling besar yaitu 4,76 MPa pada variasi tegangan
proteksi -1,1 dan ketebalan 300 mikron dengan adhesive failure
23,757%, sedangkan nilai daya lekat paling rendah terdapat pada
variasi tegangan proteksi -1,3 volt dan ketebalan150 mikron
dengan nilai daya lekat sebesar 1,98 MPa dimana prosentase
adhesive failure yang terjadi adalah sebesar 54,009%.

Corrosion is a major causes of the failure of the material,
especially in the pipeline which is the equipment to transport oil
or gas from the reservoir, which is usually placed on extreme or
corrosive environment. Corrosion protection is performed on the
pipeline to prevent or reduce the occurrence of corrosion. The
most common method for corrosion protection is by coating with
protective layer. The other method to prevent corrosion is
cathodic protection, or Impressed Current Cathodic Protection
(ICCP). Coating and cathodic protection can be use
simultaneously on the same device, but unfortunately it might
damage the coating layer when the voltage protection is not as it
should be, which can lead to defects in the coating such as
blistering or reduces the adhesion strength of the coating because
the incoming water due to the current flowing. This study was
conducted to determine how the influence of the voltage
protection as well as the thickness of the paint layer on the
adhesion strength and permeability of the coating, the cathodic
disbonding test conditions, or the joint use of coatings and ICCP.
Where variables are used for voltage protection is without
current, -0,85V, -1,1V, -1,3V, and -1,5V, while the variable
thickness of the paint used is 150, 200, 250, and 300 microns.
Tests conducted after the application of coating on specimens API
5L Grade B testing is used to determine the initial adhesion
strength of initial adhesion of the paint before testing cathodic
disbonding. Cathodic disbonding and permeability testing is
performed in 3.5% NaCl solution for 28 days for each voltage
variations. Test results obtained from disbonding the greatest
diameter value is 32 mm for a voltage -1,5 volt with 150 microns
of thickness, while the smallest of disbonding on voltage without
current protection with 200 microns of thickness is 3,3 mm. For
the greathest adhesion value is 4,76 MPa on -1,1 voltage variaton
and a thickness of paint is 300 microns with adhesive failure
23,757%, while the lowest value of adhesion on -1,3 volt
protection voltage variaton and a thickness of paint 150 microns
with value of adhesion is 1,98 Mpa which percentage of adhesive
failure that occured amounted to 54,009%
