Abstract
Berdasarkan BMKG Stasiun
Meteorologi Maritim Perak II Surabaya di peisisir Pulau Bawean
memiliki tinggi gelombang signifikan berkisar antara 0,1 – 3 m
yang berpotensi untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai Pembangkit Listrik
Tenaga Gelombang Laut (PLTGL). Salah satunya adalah
Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Gelombang Laut–Sistem Bandul
(PLTGL-SB). Dengan tinggi gelombang dan periode gelombang
signifikan yang terjadi, besar daya listrik maksimal yang mampu
dihasilkan adalah sebesar 9658,54 watt atau 9,66 kW. Daya
maksimal terjadi pada bulan Desember. PLTGL-SB model tripod
ini mampu menyuplai kebutuhan listrik di daerah sasaran
sebanyak 7 unit rumah. Namun pada bulan Desember, mampu
menyuplai kebutuhan listrik sebanyak 42 unit rumah. PLTGL-SB
ini tidak layak untuk dijadikan pembangkit listrik yang mampu
bekerja secara kontinyu. Namun layak diterapkan sebagai sumber energi cadangan dari PLN.

According to data from the PLN, on the island of Bawean
carrying about 2,750 households not electrify yet and still in the
waiting list of prospective customers and also still using diesel
engine power plant. According to BMKG Perak Maritime
Meteorology Station II Surabaya in Bawean Island coastal area
has significant wave height range from 0.1 to 3 m which is
potential to be used as a Sea Wave Power Plants (PLTGL). One
of them is the Sea Wave Power Plant - Pendulum System
(PLTGL-SB). With the wave height and significant wave periode
occurs on the island of Bawean, maximum generating electric
power is 9658.546 watts or 9.66 kW. Maximum power occurs in
December. PLTGL-SB tripod model applied in the northern area
of the Bawean island is able to supply the electrical needs in the
target area of 7 houses. But in December, is able to supply the
electricity needs in the target area as much as 42 units. PLTGLSB
as a power plant, is not suitable to work continuously.
However it is feasible as a backup energy source of PLN.
