Abstract

Bucket elevator merupakan sebuah komponen yang berfungsi untuk mengangkut material reject yang keluar dari Finish Mill dalam proses produksi semen, bucket elevator di hubungkan dengan chain shackle. Chain shackle pada bucket elevator telah mengalami masalah keausan karena material tersebut tidak sesuai dengan standar DIN 745 sehingga diperlukan optimalisasi dengan perlakuan panas. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan proses analisis pengaruh variasi temperatur dan media mendingin terhadap struktur mikro dan sifat mekanik material chain shackle yang di hardening sebagai solusi kegagalan pada chain shackle. Pengujian yang dilakukan meliputi uji komposisi, metalografi, hardness dan ketahanan aus. Dari hasil uji komposisi didapatkan bahwa material chain shackle adalah baja AISI 1030. kemudian diberi pelakuan hardening dengan temperatur austenisasi 850oC dan 900oC dengan holding time selama 30 menit lalu dilakukan pendinginan dengan air, oli dan brine. Kekerasan tertinggi terdapat pada spesimen dengan temperatur austenisasi 900oC dengan media pendingin brine dengan kekerasan sebesar 751.2 HV dengan laju keausan 1.5 mm/jam. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian didapatkan bahwa kekerasan berbanding terbalik dengan laju keausan. ==================================================================================================== Bucket Elevator is a component that serves to transport reject material out of Finish Mill in cement production process, bucket elevator in connection with chain shackle. Chain shackle on the bucket elevator has experienced wear problems because the material is not in accordance with DIN 745 standards so optimization is required with heat treatment. In this research, the process of analyzing the effect of temperature and cooling media variations on the microstructure and mechanical properties of shackle chain material that is hardened as a failure solution in chain shackle. The tests include compositional test, metallography, hardness and wear resistance. From the composite test results obtained that the shackle material is steel material AISI 1030. then given the hardening treatment with austenisation temperature 850oC and 900oC with holding time for 30 minutes then cooled with water, oil and brine. The highest hardness is in specimens with austenisation temperature 900oC with brine cooling medium with hardness of 751.2 HV with a wear rate of 1.5 mm / hr. Based on the test results found that the hardness is inversely proportional to the rate of wear.
