Abstract

Storytelling menjadi metode yang digunakan oleh guru TK saat bercerita dan kini dijadikan sebagai sarana untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai pada anak yang dilakukan tanpa perlu menggurui sang anak. Disisi lain banyak guru TK yang mengeluhkan interaksi anak yang menurun di saat mendengarkan guru bercerita. Anak-anak cenderung melakukan tingkah laku (behavior) yang agresif di saat guru sedang melakukan storytelling di dalam kelas. TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 52 merupakan salah satu TK yang terletak di kawasan Keputih, Kecamatan Sukolilo, para gurunya memiliki kesulitan di dalam menyampaikan cerita kepada anak. Terdapat hanya tiga orang anak dari 17 anak di dalam kelas yang mendengarkan gurunya di saat melakukan storytelling. Persentase terbesar penyebab kurangnya minat atau interaksi saat mendengarkan guru bercerita yaitu sistem mengajar yang kurang menarik bagi anak-anak sehingga anak menjadi cepat bosan dan mempengaruhi konsentrasi anak. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, dirancang aplikasi motion capturing media edukasi storytelling menggunakan sensor kinect yang efektif dan menarik untuk membantu guru TK di dalam meningkatkan interaksi anak TK. Pengukuran interaksi anak dilakukan dengan menggunakan parameter behavior yang didapatkan melalui proses screening. Adapun hasil akhir dari penelitian ini berupa interaksi anak yang meningkat saat mendengarkan guru bercerita berdasarkan uji komparasi kondisi sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media edukasi virtual pada kedua TK yang diuji. Peningkatan interaksi anak pada kondisi sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media edukasi sebesar 31.66% di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 52 dan 48.96% di KB-TK Yaa Bunayaa. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media edukasi storytelling virtual dapat meningkatkan interaksi anak dengan guru di dalam kelas. ===================================================================================================== Storytelling is a method used by kindergarten teachers when telling stories and is now used as a means to instill values in children without need to patronize the child. In some situations, many kindergarten teachers complain about the interaction of children who are declining when listening the teacher. Children tend to engage in aggressive behavior when teachers are doing storytelling in the classroom. Kindergarten Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 52 is one kindergarten located in Keputih area, Sukolilo district, and the teachers have difficulties in telling the story to the child. There are only three children out of 17 children in the class who listen to the teacher while doing the storytelling. The greatest percentage of causes of lack of interest or interaction when listening to teachers tell a story is a less attractive teaching system for children, so that children become quickly bored and affect the concentration of children. Based on these problems, the application of motion capturing education media for storytelling using kinect sensors is effective and interesting to help kindergarten teachers in improving interaction of children with teachers. Child interaction measurements were performed using behavioral parameters obtained through the screening process. The final result of this research is the increasing of children interaction when listening to teacher telling story based on comparative test of condition before and after using virtual education media in both kindergarten tested. Increased interaction of children on the condition before and after using educational media 31.66% in kindergarten Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 52 and 48.96% in KB-TK Yaa Bunayaa. So, it can be concluded that the use of virtual storytelling education media can increase the interaction of children with teachers in the classroom.
