Abstract

Sistem ballast merupakan salah satu sistem yang sangat penting dalam kapal selam. Berbeda dengan kapal konvensional yang menggunakan ballast sekedar untuk menjaga stabilitas kapal pada kapal selam sistem ballast memegang peranan penting dalam proses manuver kapal ketika dalam proses menyelam maupun mengapung. Untuk menyelam maupun mengapung kapal selam harus mengatur beratnya dan satu - satunya pemberat kapal selam ketika berada dalam air berasal dari air ballast.

Dalam tugas akhir ini akan direncanakan suatu sistem ballast yang sesuai untuk kebutuhan AUV Untuk sistem ballast menggunakan sistem piston ballast. Pengisian dan pengosongan tangki ballast menggunakan pompa. Kecepatan pompa dan volume tangki ballast akan mempengaruhi kedalaman AUV saat proses menyelam maupun mengapung. Pada tugas akhir ini juga akan menerangkan tentang sistematika penentuan persamaan rumus empiris dari data percobaan yang akan digunakan dalam pengembangan aktif ballast AUV. Dari hasil analisa data percobaan didapatkan standart deviasi untuk dijadikan parameter pembuatan ballast aktif.

Ballast system is one of vital systems on submarine. Difference with conventional ship which use ballast only for keeping its stability in submarine ballast system has important role in ship maneuver procces when in diving or floating procces. To dive and float submarine must manage its weight and the only additional weight of submarine when it is in the water that comes from ballast water.

In this final project will be planned a ballast system suitable for AUV requirement For ballast system using ballast piston system. Filling and discharging the ballast tank using a pump. The speed of the pump and the volume of the ballast tank will affect the depth of the AUV during the process of diving or floating. In this final project will also explain about the systematic determination of equations of empirical formulas from experimental data to be used in the active development of AUV ballasts. From the analysis of experimental data, the standard deviation is used to make the active ballast parameter.
