Abstract

Seiring dengan meningkatnya pertumbuhan dan perkembangan ekonomi. Kebutuhan akan energi listrik juga semakin meningkat,sehingga masyarakat bergantung sumber energi yang berasal dari fosil. Karena fosil tidak akan selamanya tersedia,maka dibutuhkan inovasi baru untuk setidaknya mengatasi kebutuhan energi,salah satunya adalah turbin yang memanfaatkan energi angin.
Objek eksperimen ini adalah turbin angin, yaitu turbin angin sumbu horizontal dengan jumlah 4 blade airfoil clark-y model taper linear dengan variasi angle of attack 20º, 40º, dan 60º. Diuji unjuk kerjanya mengggunakan variasi pembebanan dari anak timbangan 0 gram – 4000 gram dengan variasi kecepatan angin adalah 3,2 m/s, 4 m/s dan 7,2 m/s.
Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan daya dan efisiensi maksimum yaitu 1,209 Watt dan 26,873% .

With the growth of the economical rate.The need for electricit also increasing too that cause the society to depend on the need of electricity from the fossil resources.Because fossil energy cannot last forever ,so the new innovation needed to overcome the necessity of energy,one of the solution to the problem is the wind powered turbine.
The object of this eksperiment is wind turbine,which use horizontal axis with 4 clarky blade airfoil model linear taper with the angle of attack variation 200,400,600.The performance of the wind turbine tested by the loading variaton from the pair of scales from te weigt of 0 gram-100 4000 gram with the variation of wind velocity about 3,2 m/s ,4 m/s, and 7.2 m/s.
From the testing, the result data is the maximum power and efficiency is 1.209 Watt dan 26.873%.
