Abstract

Wilayah kepulauan Indonesia yang memiliki Pesisir dan laut ekosistem, yang terdiri dari muara, bakau, rumput laut, dan terumbu karang yang produktif. Semakin tingginya aktivitas ataupun produktivitas yang berada pada pesisir pantai mengakibatkan terjadinya kerusakan pada pesisir pantai oleh manusia. Perlu adanya penanganan khusus pencegahan kerusakan ekosistem dengan mengurangi datangnya gelombang dengan cara memecah gelombang. Terumbu buatan berbentuk hexagonal akan dikaji kinerjanya dalam penelitian ini sehingga informasi kinerja artificial reef bentuk hexagonal tersebut dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam perancangan submerged breakwater sebagai pelindung pantai yang ramah lingkungan. Sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian, maka variabel yang diteliti adalah pengaruh periode gelombang (T), tinggi gelombang datang (Hi), dan variasi lebar (B) terhadap refleksi gelombang. Hasil penilitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh parameter-parameter gelombang terhadap besar kecilnya refleksi sangat bervariasi. Refleksi terbesar pada konfigurasi A4 dengan penempatan terumbu buatan secara horizontal, susunan berjumlah 8 dan jarak lebar puncak 1,09 M dengan koefisien refleksi 0,9176. Sedangkan koefisien refleksi terkecil terdapat pada konfigurasi satu (A1) dengan susunan berjumlah 1 dan jarak lebar puncak 0,25 M dengan koefisien refleksi 0,1120

The Indonesian archipelago has coastal and marine productive ecosystems, such as, mangroves, seagrass, and coral reefs. Increasing human activity on the coast causing damage to the coastal ecosystem. A special handling of the prevention of destruction by nature itself is needed by reducing the arrival of destructing waves by breaking the wave. Artificial reefs will be studied this research, to provide information on the performance of hexagonal artificial reef that can be used as an alternative in the design of submerged breakwater as an environmentally friendly coastal protection. The influences of wave periods (T), wave height (Hi), and width variation (B) to the reflection coefficient it is found that the influence of wave parameters on the reflection coefficient varies greatly. The value of the reflection coefficient obtained varies depending on the dimensionless parameter that is used as a comparison on each arrangement of the model. The highest reflection coefficient occurs the reef configuration A4 where the reef were placed in horizontal, the arrangement is 8 and the peak width 1,09 Meters with reflection coefficient 0,9176. While the smallest reflection coefficient is in the configuration of one (A1) and the arrangement is 1 and a peak width of 0,25 Meters with reflection coefficient 0,1120.
