Abstract
Sebagai perguruan tinggi Islam swasta berbasis teknologi, kebutuhan energi pada gedung Universitas XYZ cukuplah besar. Salah satu pemakaian energi yang paling besar dalam menunjang kegiatan operasional harian Universitas XYZ ialah sistem pendigin . Sistem pendingin menggunakan air conditioner split duct dan air conditioner wall mounted. Menurut data BPPT konsumsi energi final di Indonesia pada periode 2000-2013 meningkat rata-rata sebesar 2,8% per tahun. Adapun kebutuhan energi listrik di Indonesia pada tahun 2009 sebesar 151.334 GWh dan pada tahun 2013 kebutuhan energi listrik sudah mencapai 208.935 GWh meningkat 11,52% per tahun. Persediaan energi dari tahun ketahun semakin menurun terutama pada sumber energi yang tidak dapat diperbaharui seperti gas alam, minyak bumi, dan batu bara. Apabila penggunaan energi tidak dikendalikan maka lama kelamaan akan terjadi krisis energi. Oleh karena itu Penelitian Tugas Akhir ini akan mengangkat kasus penghematan energi di Universitas XYZ dalam rangka untuk melaksanakan penghematan energi.
Pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan analisa sistem penerangan dan pendinginan pada Lantai IV dan VI Universitas XYZ. Analisa sistem penerangan pada setiap ruangan dibandingkan dengan penerangan standard SNI 03-6197-2000 yang digunakan sebagai acuan untuk analisa sistem penerangan. Metode selanjutnya adalah analisa beban pendinginan untuk mengetahui besar cooling load pada suatu ruangan. dibuat 3 skenario untuk menghitung beban pendinginannya, yakni beban pada pukul 09.00 WIB, beban pada pukul 12.00 WIB, dan beban pada pukul 15.00 WIB. Sistem pengkondisian udara mengacu pada ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers) dengan metode CLTD (Cooling Load Temperature Difference).
Dari penelitian yang dilakukan didapatkan hasil perbandingan intensitas pencahayaan, perbandingan daya pencahayaan, dan perbandingan total beban pendinginan dengan kapasitas AC yang terpasang pada tiap ruang. Dari perbandingan tersebut, Ruangan yang sistem penerangannya nyaman intensitas dan hemat daya sebelum rekomendasi yaitu Perpustakaan Cetak, Ruang Kuliah 1 - Ruang Kuliah 7. Setelah diberikan rekomendasi penggantian lampu, seluruh ruangan sistem penerangannya sudah nyaman intensitas dan hemat daya. Ruangan yang sistem pengkondisian udaranya nyaman sebelum rekomendasi ialah seluruh ruangan pada lantai IV dan VI. Penghematan sistem penerangan setelah dilakukan penggantian lampu menjadi lampu LED Bulb yaitu sebesar 22.376,64 kWh/tahun sehingga mampu menghemat Rp. 32.832.796 setiap tahunnya. Dari perhitungan dapat diketahui beban pendingin maksimum berada pada pukul 15 : 00 WIB. Total penurunan beban pendinginan dari seluruh Ruangan di Lantai IV dan VI Universitas XYZ yang didapat setelah melakukan penggantian kaca dari single glass menjadi double glass yaitu sebesar 33865 kWh/tahun sehingga mampu menghemat sebesar Rp 49.689.442 setiap tahun

As a private Islamic University based technology, the needs energy in XYZ University building is large enough. One of the biggest energy usage in support daily operations of XYZ University is the cooling system. The cooling system uses a split duct air conditioner and wall mounted air conditioner. According to BPPT data, final energy consumption in Indonesia in the period 2000-2013 increased by an average of 2.8% per year. Electricity energy needs in indonesia in 2009 amounted to 151,334 GWh and in 2013 electricity demand has reached 208,935 GWh, which means increased 11,52% per year. Energy reserves from year to year are declining especially in non renewable energy source such as natural gas, petroleum and coal. if the use of energy is not controlled then sooner or later there will be an crisis. Therefore this final assignment will raise the case of energy savings at XYZ University in order to implement energy savings.
In this research, using analysis lighting and cooling system on fourth and sixth floor of XYZ University. The lighting system analysis in each room is compared with the standard lighting SNI 03-6197-2000 used a reference for lighting system analysis. The next method is cooling load analysis to determine the cooling load in each room. Three scenarios were made to calculate the cooling load, ie load at 09:00 pm, load at 12:00 pm and load at 15:00 pm. Air conditioning system refers to ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers) with CLTD (Cooling Load Temperature Difference).
From the research, the result of comparison of lighting intensity, comparison of lighting energy and ratio of total cooling load with Air Conditioning capacity installed in each room. From the comparison, the room that the lighting system is comfortable intensity and energy saving before recomendation is the library, lecture room 1 - lecture room 7. After the recomended replacement lamp, the entire room lighting system has been comfortable intensity and energy saving. A room with a comfortable air conditioning system before recommendation is the whole room on the fourth and sixth floor. Saving lighting system after the replacement of lamps into the LED Bulb lights is 22.376,64 kWh / year so as to save Rp. 32.832.796 every year. From the calculation can be known the maximum cooling load is at 15:00 pm. Total reduction of cooling load from all rooms in fourth and sixth floor XYZ University obtained after the glass change from single glass to double glass that is equal to 33.865 kWh / year so that is can save Rp. 49.689.442 every year.
