Abstract

In a construction system, strength is the most important structure in a ship because the function of the structure is to ensure the safety of the crew, passengers and cargo. For access to enterance and exit of the vehicle along with a payload on the Ro-Ro barge ship via the rampdoor. Thus, the rampdoor construction receives the workload during its dispersion which will cause problems such as deformation, cracking and so on.
This research aims to get the alternative choice of rampdoor design that meets the criteria technically and economically, so that made two alternative design rampdoor alternative A with not folding rampdoor type and alternative B folding rampdoor type. In performing technical analysis and strength criteria based on BKI rules, the strength value criteria allowed by BKI to σmax of 124 N / mm2 and τmax of 82.17 N /mm2.
In the calculation of the selection of construction profiles, two manual calculations are performed and using SAP 2000 V.19 software based on the Finite Element Method (FEM). The calculation result σmax and τmaks that happened should not exceed the rules of BKI. Economic analysis is done by feasibility method of investment based on Net Present Value with interest rate of bank credit of BTN equal to 11%.
In the analysis process obtained two rampdoor models that meet the technical and economic criteria are Rampdoor Alternative A type A3 with value σmax = 83.784 N/mm2 and τmax= 39.129 N/mm2 and Investment value of Rp. 228,982,692.00 and NPV of Rp 395,892,581.50. Rampdoor Alternative B type B1 with value σmax = 86.435 N/mm2 and τmax= 39.924 N/mm2 and Investment value of Rp. 262,394,956.80 and NPV of Rp. 453,659,688.92.
