Abstract

Dalam upaya memajukan Indonesia dalam sektor maritime maka diperlukan penelitian yang mendalam terkait faktor yang mendukung terwujutnya Indonesia yang berbasis pada sektor maritim .salah satu penelitian yang mendukung terwujudnya Indonesia dibidang maritime adalah penelitian terkait kapal. Kapal merupaka salah satu alat transportasi yang digunakan untuk memajukan industri maritim di Indonesia. Penelitian terkait pengembangan efisiensi kapal telah banyak dilakukan , salah satu diantaranya adalah penggunaaan hydrofoil untuk memberikan gaya angkat pada kapal sehingga lambung kapal berada diatas air dan tahanan akibat lambung kapal dapat dikurangi secara siknifikan.Prinsip kerja dari hydrofoil ini adalah hydrofoil yang memiliki sudut serang akan bergesekan dengan aliran fluida sehingga menghasilkan gaya hambat searah sumbu-x dan gaya angkat kapal searah sumbu-y.Pada penulisan tugas akhir ini penulis menganalisa mengenai pengaruh kecepatan kapal terhadap gaya angkat kapal hydrofoil type-u ,posisi peletakan hydrofoil yang sesuai berdasarkan titik berat kapal,serta karakteristik penurunan hambatan kapal akibat penggunaan hydrofoil.Adapun dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

In an effort to promote Indonesia in the maritime sector, deep research is needed related to factors that support the realization of Indonesia based on the maritime sector. One study that supports the realization of Indonesia in the field of maritime is a ship related research. The ship is one of the means of transportation used to promote the maritime industry in Indonesia. The research related to the development of the power of the ship has been done, one of them is the use of hydrofoil to provide lift force on the ship so that the hull of the ship is above the water and the prisoner due to the hull of the ship can be reduced significantly. The working principle of this hydrofoil is hydrofoil which produces the x-axis in direction of the x-axis direction and lifting force in the direction of the y-axis direction. In this thesis the authors analyze the effect of velocity of the vessel to the hydrofoil lift-type vessel type u, the appropriate hydrofoil laying position based on the weight of the ship, as well as the characteristics of decreased ship resistance due to the use of hydrofoil. As for in this study using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method .
