Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah pengguna jasa kereta api harus diimbangi dengan ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana sehingga dapat mendukung terselenggaranya pelayanan kereta api yang optimal. Panjang jalan kereta api yang beroperasi tahun 2009 sepanjang 4.684 km. Jumlah jalur tunggal yang ada sekarang belum mampu mengatasi terjadinya penundaan kereta yang terjadi sehingga menyebabkan keterlambatan kedatangan maupun keberangkatan kereta. Ditambah lagi adanya tren peningkatan pengguna jasa kereta api disetiap tahunnya akan membuat tingkat pelayanan kereta api semakin berkurang. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut pemerintah berencana untuk mengembangkan jaringan jalan rel di Jawa dengan program double track atau jalur ganda. Salah satunya , pengembangan jalur tunggal menjadi jalur ganda lintas selatan jawa agar dicapai pelayanan yang optimal. (Ditjen Perkeretaapian, 2011).
Kondisi jalan rel di lintas Madiun – Nganjuk masih beroperasi menggunakan jalur tungal. Perencanaan pengembangan jalan rel dengan sistem jalur ganda yang menghubungkan Madiun-Nganjuk telah selesai dilakukan. Jalur ganda yang direncanakan banyak yang akan dibangun di atas tanah dasar yang cukup lunak. Salah satunya pada rentang STA 158+500-STA159+500. Selain itu pada rentang ini juga direncanakan timbunan dengan dinding penahan akibat kurangnya lahan yang tersedia. Permasalahan lain yang muncul adalah stabilitas timbunan eksisting yang kemungkinan akan terganggu dengan adanya timbunan baru. Bahkan pada STA 136+800 – STA 136+850, timbunan eksisting sudah mengalami penurunan sebelum proyek pembangunan timbunan double track dilaksanakan.
Dari permasalahan tersebut, diperlukan analisa stabilitas timbunan eksisting sebelum dan sesudah dilakukannya pembangunan timbunan rel system double track. Sehingga selanjutnya dapat dilakukan Perkuatan menggunakan metode geotextile, cerucuk dan dinding penahan. Hasil perencanaan adalah didapatkan struktur timbunan double track yang stabil.

The increase in amount of train users must be balanced with availability of infrastructure and facilities that capable to support an optimal implementation of rail services. The length of the railway that operates in 2009 along 4,684 km. The number of existing single tracks has not been able to overcome the occurrence of train delays thus causing delays of arrival or departure of trains. In addition, the increase in trend of train users in each year will make the train service level decreasing. Therefore, to overcome these problems, the government plans to develop a railway network in Java with double track system. One of them is the development of a single track into a double track across southern Java to achieve an optimal service. (Directorate General of Railways, 2011).

The condition of rail roads in Madiun - Nganjuk segment is still operating using the single track system. Planning of development of railway with double track system that connecting Madiun-Nganjuk has been completed. Many planned double tracks will be built on a base ground that soft enough. One of them is in STA 158 + 500 -STA159 + 500. In addition, on this segment is also planned embankment with a retaining wall due to lack of land. The other problem is the stability of the existing embankment that would be disrupted by a new embankment. Even on STA 136 + 800 - STA 136 + 850, the existing embankment has drop before a double track embankment project is implemented.

From these problems, it’s needed a stability analysis of existing embankment before and after the construction of double track.
So that furthermore it can be strengthened using geotextile method, micropiles, and retaining walls. The result of the planning is getting the structure of stable double track.
