Abstract

Air tanah merupakan semua air yang berada di dalam lapisan tanah (aquifer). Aquifer dapat diidentifikasi menggunakan metode geofisika yang memanfaatkan sifat-sifat fisika material bawah permukaan bumi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aquifer di wilayah jalan tol Manado-Bitung Sulawesi Utara menggunakan metode resistivitas 2 dimensi konfigurasi Wenner dengan spasi 5 m. Hasil analisa data dari metode ini ialah penampang persebaran nilai resistivitas bawah permukaan bumi beserta kondisi topografi wilayah penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan wilayah pengukuran merupakan wilayah aquifer dengan air tanah yang berasal dari area resapan yaitu Gunung Klabat dan arah barat daya hingga tenggara. Selain itu, pada wilayah pengukuran terdapat sistem aquifer tak tertekan yang terletak dekat dengan permukaan (kedalaman 5 m) dan sistem aquifer tertekan yang pada kedalaman di bawah 70m.

Groundwater is all the water that is in the bottom of subsurface (aquifer). Aquifer can be identified using geophysical methods that utilize the physical properties of subsurface materials. This research aims to identifying aquifers around the Manado-Bitung highway of North Sulawesi using 2-D resistivity Wenner-array method by 5 m spacing. The result of data analyzing from this method is the contour map of subsurface resistivity value with the topographic condition along the line in research area.
The results showed that the area of measurement is the region of aquifer with the ground water coming from the recharge area of Mount Klabat and southwest to southeast direction. In addition, there is an unconfined aquifer system located close to the surface (depth of 5 m) and a confined aquifer system at a depth below 70 maroundthe research area.
