Abstract

Batam merupakan kota dengan letak yang strategis yang berada di jalur pelayaran internasional dan memiliki jarak yang sangat dekat dan berbatasan langsung dengan Singapura. Jarak pelayaran dari Batam ke Singapura adalah ± 40 kilometer atau ± 22 nautical miles dan pada umumnya ferry dari Batam menuju Singapura digunakan oleh para pekerja yang bekerja di Singapura namun berdomisili di Batam karena biaya hidup di Batam yang lebih murah daripada Singapura begitupun sebaliknya. Tujuan dari penelitian Tugas Akhir ini adalah dibutuhkannya ferry yang lebih cepat dan dirasa mampu untuk membantu sarana transportasi para pekerja untuk sampai ke Singapura atau Batam lebih cepat dengan harga tiket yang relevan. Payload kapal adalah berdasarkan hasil analisis perhitungan existing ferries yang dinilai paling ekonomis kemudian didapat payload luasan dek dan ukuran utama kapal. Setelah itu dilakukan perhitungan teknis yang meliputi hambatan dan propulsi, berat, dimensi foil dan strut, freeboard, stabilitas, dan trim. Ukuran utama yang didapatkan adalah LOA = 38.5 m; LPP = 35.5 m; B = 8.7 m; H = 2.5 m; T = 1.63 m; dan jenis foil yang digunakan pada bagian belakang dan depan adalah NACA 641-212 dengan dimensi foil belakang (s = 8.7 m; c = 1.15 m) dan foil depan (s = 6.5 m; c = 1.15 m). Jenis foil pada strut adalah NACA 0015 dengan dimensi strut belakang luar (s = 7.2 m; c = 1.15 m), strut belakang tengah (s = 4.025 m; c = 1.15 m) dan strut depan (s = 5 m; c = 1.15 m). Tinggi freeboard minimum sebesar 94 mm, besar tonase adalah 218.48 GT, dan kondisi stabilitas Ferry Hydrofoil memenuhi kriteria Intact Stability (IS) Code Reg. III/3.1 dan HSC Code 2000. Biaya total pembangunan kapal sebesar Rp 74,598,978,402. =============== Batam is strategically located city for international shipping line and it shares maritime borders with Singapore. The cruise distance between Batam to Singapore is ± 40 kilometer or ± 22 nautical miles and generally, a ferry which cruises from Batam to Singapore is used by workers that lives in Batam but works in Singapore. The reason behind this is because the cost of living in Batam is much cheaper than it is in Singapore. The purpose of this thesis is that a much faster ferry with a reasonable price is required to help the workers reach their destination faster. The ship’s payload is based on the result of calculation on the most economical existing ferry and then the payload of deck area and the main dimension of the ship is obtained. The technical calculation such as resistance, propulsion, weight, foil and strut dimension, freeboard, stability, and trim is calculated after the ship’s payload is obtained. The main dimension of the ship are LOA = 38.5 m; LPP = 35.5 m; B = 8.7 m; H = 2.5 m; T = 1.63 m and the foil type that is used in the after and fore section is NACA 641-212 with the after foil dimension (s = 8.7 m; c = 1.15 m) and the fore foil (s = 6.5 m; c = 1.15 m). The type of foil on strut is NACA 0015 with the dimension of after strut is (s = 7.2 m; c = 1.15 m), middle after strut (s = 4.025 m; c = 1.15 m) and fore strut (s = 5 m; c = 1.15 m). The minimum freeboard height is 94 mm, the tonnage of the ship is 218.48 GT, and the stability condition Ferry Hydrofoil has met the criteria of Intact Stability (IS) Code Reg. III/3.1 and HSC Code 2000. The cost of building on a new ship is Rp 74,598,978,402.
