Abstract

Pulau Untung Jawa merupakan salah satu wilayah di Kepulauan Seribu yang tidak memiliki SMA sehingga mengharuskan penduduk yang ingin melanjutkan pendidikan ke tingkat SMA untuk menyeberang ke Jakarta Utara. Para pelajar menyeberang ke sekolah mereka dengan kapal ojek yang tidak terjamin keselamatannya atau menginap di wilayah mereka bersekolah. Tugas Akhir ini bermaksud memberikan solusi untuk mempermudah transportasi pelajar SMA di Pulau Untung Jawa untuk bersekolah di Jakarta Utara. Kapal amfibi Water School Bus dapat mengantar pelajar menyeberangi laut dan berjalan di darat hingga para pelajar sampai di depan sekolah dengan selamat. Payload dari Water School Bus ini adalah jumlah pelajar SMA di Pulau Untung Jawa. Setelah didapatkan jumlah payload, kemudian dicari nilai deadweight dan penentuan ukuran utama kapal amfibi Water School Bus. Kemudian dengan ukuran utama tersebut dilakukan perhitungan teknis yang meliputi perhitungan stabilitas, perhitungan trim, dan perhitungan freeboard dan dilanjutkan dengan mendesain Rencana Garis, Rencana Umum, dan menghitung biaya pembangunannya. Dari desain kapal amfibi Water School Bus dengan payload 59 pelajar SMA beserta 1 orang sopir, didapatkan ukuran utama kapal Lpp: 14.27 m; B: 2.5 m; H: 4 m; T: 1.6 m dengan biaya pembangunan sebesar Rp 2,393,414,848.59

Untung Jawa Island is one of the islands located in Thousand Islands that does not provide high school education for its residents. Therefore, those who are in favor to pursue their high school education will have to cross the ocean and study in North Jakarta. The students cross the ocean to their schools with traditional boats that are relatively unsafe or live in homestays in their school area. This Final Project is intended to give a solution by facilitating the transportation for high school students with Amphibious Water School Bus that is capable to safely transport students from crossing the ocean and ride them to their schools on land. The payload of Water School Bus is the total number of high school students in Untung Jawa Island, which will then be calculated to obtain the deadweight and the main dimensions of the amphibious Water School Bus. From the main dimensions, technical calculation including the calculation of ship’s stability, trim, and freeboard will be performed. The process continues by designing the Lines Plan, General Arrangement, and calculating her building cost. From the design of amphibious Water School Bus with a number of 59 students and 1 driver as its payload, main dimesions are obtained which consist of Lpp: 14.27 m; B: 2.5 m; H: 4 m; T: 1.6 m and a building cost of Rp 2,393,414,848.59.
