Abstract

Metilen biru merupakan pewarna sintetik yang sering digunakan di industri tekstil di Indonesia. Keberadaannya dalam limbah industri yang mencemari lingkungan perairan dan memberikan dampak buruk bagi kesehatan maupun ekosistem makhluk hidup di lingkungan itu sendiri karena sifatnya yang karsinogenik dan sulit terdegradasi secara alami, sehingga diperlukan proses degradasi yang efektif oleh mikroorganisme. Pada penelitian ini, kemampuan jamur pelapuk putih Phlebia lindtneri dalam menghilangkan warna dari metilen biru telah diteliti dalam media cair PDB selama 28 hari inkubasi. Analisa penghilangan warna (decolorization) dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen UV-Vis dan analisa metabolit produk biotransformasi menggunakan instrumen LC-MS/TOF. Prosentase decolorization metilen biru selama 28 hari sebesar ± 99%. Metabolit produk yang terbentuk dari proses biotransformasi metilen biru adalah C16H20N3S; C16H21N3SO; C22H31N3SO5 =====================================================================Methylene blue is a synthetic dye that is mostly used in textile industries. Its presence in industrial wastes causes pollute the aquatic environments. It also affect the health and ecosystem in the environment itself due to its carcinogenic and difficult to degrade. Therefore, an effective method is needed to degrade pollutants by microorganism. In this study, the ability of the white rot fungus Phlebia lindtneri was investigated on decoloring the methylene blue for 28 days incubation in the liquid medium of PDB. Analysis of decolorization was measured using UV-Vis and analysis of metabolite products using LC-MS/TOF instruments. The precentage of methylene blue decolorization after 28 days incubation was ± 99%. The metabolite products of methylene blue biotransformation are C16H20N3S; C16H21N3SO; C22H31N3SO5
