Abstract
Kompleks ion logam Cu(II) dengan ligan 2,4,5-trifenilimidazol berhasil disintesis dengan perbandingan mol logam dan ligan 1:2 dalam DMF. Hasil sintesis kompleks diperoleh padatan kristalin berwarna hijau muda. Kompleks menyerap sinar UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 529 nm. Hasil karakterisasi FTIR menunjukkan terjadi ikatan logam dan ligan yaitu Cu-N pada daerah sekitar 422,38 cm-1. Hasil analisis elemental analyzer dan AAS menunjukkan kompleks yang terbentuk memiliki rumus molekul [Cu(L)2(H2O)2].Cl2. Rumus molekul juga didukung dengan data TGA. Hasil analisis TGA menunjukkan tidak terdapat air kristal dalam senyawa kompleks. Uji toksisitas senyawa kompleks dilakukan dengan metode (3-(4,5-dimetiltiazol-2-yl)-2,5-difeniltetrazolium bromide) (MTT) dan didapatkan nilai IC50 senyawa kompleks sebesar 72,139 μg/ml.

The complex of metal ion Cu(II) with the ligand 2,4,5-trifenilimidazol has been successfully synthesized with mole ratio of metal and ligand 1:2 in DMF as a solvent. Complex synthesis results obtained green light crystalline solid. Complex absorbs UV-Vis light at 529 nm. FTIR characterization results indicate occurr bonding of metals and ligand that is Cu-N in region 422.38 cm-1. Results of elemental analyzer and AAS analysis shows the complex formed has the formula [Cu(L)2(H2O)2].Cl2. The molecular formula is also supported by the TGA data. TGA analysis results showed there was no water in the crystalline complex compounds. The cytotoxicity test complex compounds made by the method of (3-(4,5-dimetiltiazol-2-yl)-2,5-difeniltetrazolium bromide) (MTT) and the IC50 value of complex obtained 72.139 μg/ml.
