Abstract

Kegiatan operasional sistem bow trhuster pada kapal
mengakibatkan peluang kegagalan semakin besar. Perawatan
sistem bow thruster pada kapal CB. X milik PT. Orela Bahari
sangat penting kaitannya dengan manuver kapal tersebut pada
saat dioperasikan. Tindakan perbaikan dan perawatan hanya dapat
dilakukan pada saat kapal tidak berlayar. Untuk itu perlu
ditentukan komponen – komponen apa saja yang menyebabkan
bow thruster tidak beroperasi sehingga menyebabkan downtime
dan bagaimana penjadwalan perawatan dengan biaya optimum.
Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) menunjukkan
penyebab kegagalan adalah kerusakan pada komponen pompa
power take off, bow thruster, solenoid valve, joystick, hydraulic
heat exchanger, dan central cooler. Dengan pola operasi kapal
saat ini serta data keandalan komponen, dibuat simulasi
menggunakan dinamika sistem untuk membuat pendekatan agar
perawatan pencegahan maupun perbaikan yang dilakukan
menghasilkan biaya seminimal mungkin. Studi ini menghasilkan
rekomendasi perawatan sistem bow thruster selama 5 tahun
antara lain : interval perawatan pompa power take off setiap 2572
jam dengan biaya Rp 73.701.852,00; hydraulic heat exchanger
setiap 27937 jam dengan biaya perawatan Rp 1.535.000,00;
central cooler setiap 30946 jam dengan biaya perawatan Rp

2.975.000,00; joystick setiap 29711 jam dengan biaya perawatan
Rp 4.005.376,00; solenoid valve tiap 8370 jam dengan biaya
perawatan Rp 3.283.854,00; dan bow thruster setiap 5709 jam
dengan biaya Rp 39.500.000,00 Total biaya perawatan sistem ini
selama 5 tahun sebesar Rp. 125.001.082,00.

Operational activity on bow thruster system on crew boat
cause increasing of failure probability. Bow thruster maintenance
on CB. X owned by PT. Orela Bahari is essential in relation with
her maneuverability while operated. Repair and maintenance can
be held only if the vessel does not operated. In relation with this
condition, components in this system has to be identified to
determine which components are possible to be cause of system
failure and downtime and how to plan optimum maintenance cost.
Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) indicates cause of
failure are damage toward components power take off, bow
thruster, solenoid valve, joystick, hydraulic heat exchanger, and
central cooler. Based on current ship operation schedule and
reliability data, a simulation made by using system dynamics
approach in order to make preventive maintenance and repair
interval with minimum cost. This study resulted maintenance
recommendation regarding bow thruster system in CB. X for 5
years such as : maintenance interval in power take off (PTO)
pump every 2572 hour at total cost IDR 73,701,852.00; hydraulic
heat exchanger every 27937 hours at total cost IDR 1.535.000.00
; central cooler every 30946 hours at total cost IDR
2,975,000.00; joystick every 29711 hours at total cost IDR
4,005,376.00; solenoid valve every 8370 hours recommended to

be replaced and the total cost is IDR 3,283,854.00; bow thruster
every 5709 hours at a cost of IDR 39,500,000. Total cost of this
system maintenance for 5 years is IDR 125,001,082.00.
