Abstract

============================================================ Indonesia is geographically located on the equator has the potential of solar energy is very large. But it can not be optimally utilized because of constrained power conversion module PV is still relatively low. One way to improve the power conversion of PV modules is to equip solar panel sys-tems with solar tracker and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithms. The solar tracker method seeks PV panels to always perpendicular to the direction of sunlight. Then MPPT is an electronic system that can trace the maximum power point that may be produced under various climatic conditions. In this research has successfully designed MPPT-based Fuzzy-Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) which is in-tegrated with PV panel system of fixed condition and tracking to increase PV module power conversion. The Fuzzy-PSO control mechanism developed is to modify the fuzzy mem-bership function model through the determination of func-tional boundaries of fuzzy input members which are updated based on the objective function ie Mean Square Error (MSE). The result is MPPT Fuzzy-PSO solar tracker can increase the power output from PV by 29,66% for 10 hours operation rel-ative to MPPT Fuzzy-PSO fixed system.
