Abstract

Banyuwangi merupakan salah satu kabupaten di Jawa Timur yang memiliki potensi besar di bidang perkebunan, salah satunya adalah hasil perkebunan kopi. Kopi menjadi salah satu komoditi penting dalam perkembangan ekonomi. Kopi juga dikenal memiliki karakter rasa yang kuat dan khas. Namun minimnya media promosi yang digunakan menyebabkan kopi Banyuwangi kurang dikenal. Meskipun pemerintah sudah melakukan kegiatan promosi tapi kurang memberikan eksistensi kopi sebagai salah satu identitas Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang potensi kopi dan hubungan terhadap masyarakat Banyuwangi. Proses penelitian ini dibagi dalam dua tahap yakni tahap pra-riset yang mengkaji tentang permasalahan yang diangkat, dan tahap riset yang mengkaji tentang konten dari subjek perancangan. Sumber datanya didapat dari metode etnografi, wawancara, kuesioner yang disebar secara online, observasi langsung ke petani kopi, perkebunan kopi dan penggalian data melalui situs-situs online. Hasil luaran dari perancangan ini yaitu video promosi yang mendorong eksistensi kopi sebagai salah satu identitas Banyuwangi dengan konsep “Perjalanan Mencari Makna kopi Banyuwangi”. Konten dari video ini adalah tentang budaya kopi terhadap masyarakat dan proses kopi. Hasil luaran tersebut dapat memberikan informasi dan mempersuasi penonton untuk aware dan memberikan apresiasi terhadap kopi Banyuwangi. Sehingga dapat menjadi penunjang program pengembangan Banyuwangi sebagai kota kopi. =============================================================================================================== Banyuwangi is one of the districts in East Java that has great potential in the field of plantation, one of which is coffee. Coffee becomes one of the important commodities in economic development. Coffee is also known to have a strong and distinctive taste character. But the lack of promotional media used to cause coffee Banyuwangi less known. Although the government has done promotional activities it still lack the existence of coffee as one of the identity of Banyuwangi. This research studied reviewing the potential of coffee and relationships Banyuwangi communities. This research process was divided into two part, the preresearch that examines the issues raised, and the research phase that examines the design subject. The data sources are derived from ethnographic methods, interviews, online-distributed questionnaires, direct observation to coffee farmers, coffee plantations, and data mining through online sites. The output of this design is a promotional video that encourages the promotional of coffee as one of the identity of Banyuwangi with the concept of "Travel Searching for Meaning coffee Banyuwangi". The content of this video is about the coffee culture of the community and the coffee process. The outcome can provide information and persuade the audience to be aware and appreciate the coffee of Banyuwangi. So it can support a supporting program of development of Banyuwangi as a The City of coffee.
