Abstract
Rencana pemerintah dalam menitikberatkan pengembangan animasi periode 2015-2019 adalah pengembangan Intellectual Property (IP) yang memanfaatkan sumber kekayaan alam dan budaya nusantara sebagai modal dasar pengembangan termasuk hak paten model karakter dari animasi tersebut. Perancangan ini khusus untuk menciptakan karakter pendukung dalam serial animasi 3D ”Little Bird” beserta pengaruhnya di dalam cerita.
Fokus perancangan ini menggunakan teknik sampling untuk model karakter 3D. Setiap bagian mempunyai metode tersendiri dalam menyusun referensi terhadap pemodelan. Rancangan karakter diadaptasi dari burung khas Indonesia dengan cerita slapstick serta unsur moral diaplikasikan ke dalam sifat dan kepribadian dari semua tokoh karakter. Pengumpulan data riset secara kualitatif, sumber data statistik responden target audien dengan data primer berupa literatur-literatur ilmiah dan pakar animasi serta ahli pemasaran animasi. Data sekunder berupa studi eksisting berdasarkan film-film animasi bertemakan kehidupan hewan, literatur dan teori-teori terkait.
Wujud akhir dari perancangan ini adalah video reel turntable 5 karakter pendukung yang diantaranya 2 karakter pendamping dan 3 karakter insidental disertai dengan ekspresi, pose dan peran setiap karakter yang nantinya akan digabung dalam bentuk animasi serial berdurasi 4 menit per episodenya dengan alur cerita yang dibawakan dalam bentuk gerak visual dan bahasa non-verbal serta penyampaian pesan secara tersirat oleh tokoh karakter sesuai perannya. Segala bentuk adaptasi visual tokoh karakter merupakan unsur penting dalam mendukung konten maupun cerita animasi. ============ According to the government's plan to emphasize the development of animation for the period 2015-2019 is the development of Intellectual Property (IP) which utilizes the natural resources and culture of the archipelago as the basic capital of development including the patent of the character model of the animation. This design is specific to create supporting characters in the 3D animated series "Little Bird" and its effects in the story.
This design focus uses sampling techniques for 3D character models. Each section has its own method of constructing a reference to the modeling. The character design adapted from a typical Indonesian bird with a slapstick story as well as a moral element is applied to the nature and personality of all characters. Qualitative research data collection, data source of respondent target audience with primary data in the form of scientific literature and animation experts and animation marketing experts. Secondary data in the form of existing studies based on animated films on animal life, literature and related theories.
The final of this progress is a 5-character reel turntable video including 2 companion characters and 3 incidental characters and showing all expressions, poses and roles of each character that will be combined in the form of serial animation duration of 4 minutes per episode with the storyline that was sung in the form Visual and non-verbal language and message delivery implicitly by character figures according to their role. All forms of visual adaptation of characters is an important element in supporting the content and animated stories.
