Abstract
Pengembangan berbagai jenis radar diperlukan untuk memenuhi
kebutuhan akan radar yang semakin beragam pula. Sistem radar dengan
menggunakan teknik sinyal OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division
Multiplexing) memungkinkan terjadinya penginderaan radar dan fungsi
komunikasi lain dalam satu sistem secara bersamaan. Hal ini memberi
peluang untuk melakukan fungsi radar terhadap target jamak. Selain itu
dengan menggunakan teknik sinyal OFDM yang sensitif terhadap
pergeseran frekuensi Doppler juga memberi peluang untuk mengukur
kelajuan target dengan lebih baik.
Pada tugas akhir ini telah dilakukan perancangan sistem radar
OFDM dengan basis SDR, lebih tepatnya dengan menggunakan USRP
(Universal Software Radio Peripheral) 2922. Mengenai metode
pemrosesan yang dipakai adalah metode pemrosesan berdasarkan simbol
dengan periodogram. Hal ini dipilih karena komputasinya lebih cepat dan
sidelobe yang dihasilkan kecil. Didapatkan hasil simulasi bahwa radar
dengan teknik sinyal OFDM dapat mengukur jarak dan kelajuan target
hingga 8 target. Namun dalam pengimplementasian sistem radar OFDM
pada USRP 2922 sulit dilakukan karena keterbatasan perangkat.

The development of various types of radars increasingly
diverse. The radar system using OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division
Multiplexing) signal technique allows the sensing radar and other
communication functions in one system simultaneously. This gives the
opportunity to perform the radar for multiple targets. In addition, by using
OFDM signal technique that is sensitive to the Doppler frequency shift
also provides the opportunity to measure the speed of the target better.
In this final project was to design a radar system with OFDM
based on SDR, more precisely by using USRP (Universal Software Radio
Peripheral). Regarding the processing method, it used the processing
method based on symbol with periodogram. This was chosen because of
the faster computation and the small lobes resulted. Simulation showed
that the OFDM signal technique can measure the distance and speed of
the target to the number of 8 targets. However, in the implementation of
OFDM radar system in 2922 USRP difficult because of the limitations of
the device.
