Abstract

The measurement of vibration in the industry is generally done on the machine in operation but when there are two machines operating in one foundation, the vibrations of each pump will affect each other due to the transmissibility and changes of result in the signal frequency spectrum pattern. So that required detection of damage to the pump by utilizing the pump damage feature transmitted to the pump around it. This research use pump with condition that is normal, unbalance 6 g.cm, unbalance 27 g.cm, misalignmet 1 mm, misalignment 2 mm, misalignment 3 mm and bearing damage. Research method in this research use simulation using ansys, mathematical model and experimental. In the comparison of mathematical models and experiments on z axes in beam, node at the middle of beam node 3 to node 4(source) has transmissibility more than 100%. On the measuremetn of 2 pumpa with on and off condition indicates that the damage on pump can be detected at the off pump based on ISO 13373-1. The operational force(in vectors) using Transfer Path Analysis(TPA) method at node 1(reference) is transmitted to nodes 2, 3, and 4 through beam structure on vertical axes. Operational force is directly proportional to the additional of mass weight(Unbalance), offset(Misalignment), and defect area(bearing fault). Operational force is inversely proportional to the addition of distance with node 1(source) as a reference. TPA on unbalance pump dominant in frequency 50 Hz, misalignment dominant pump in frequency 50 Hz, 100 Hz and 150 Hz, and bearing fault pump dominant 300 Hz, 393 Hz, and 438 Hz with normal pump as baseline. Therefore, TPA can be used to detect pump damage through Transfer Path Analysis in beam.
