Abstract

Garcinia balica merupakan salah satu spesies dari famili Guttiferae yang mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder. Senyawa golongan triterpenoid telah berhasil diisolasi dari ekstrak metanol pada ranting Garcinia balica, yaitu lupeol (1) berupa padatan putih dengan titik leleh 167-168˚C. Metode isolasi yang digunakan yaitu Kromatografi Cair Vakum (KCV) menggunakan silika gel 60 (70-230 mesh) dielusi dengan peningkatan kepolaran pelarut. Struktur molekul dari senyawa ini telah ditetapkan berdasarkan data spektrofotometer meliputi UV, IR, NMR-1D dan NMR-2D serta dibandingkan dengan literatur. Senyawa (1) tidak menunjukkan potensi sebagai antioksidan ketika dilakukan pengujian menggunakan DPPH. =========================================================================================== Garcinia balica is one of species from family Guttiferae, which contain secondary metabolite compounds. Triterpenoid has been isolated from methanol extract of Garcinia balica branch, yield lupeol (1) as white solid with melting point 167-168˚C. Isolation method used vacuum liquid chromatography with silica gel 60 ( 70-230 mesh) eluted with increasing polarity solvent. Structure of compound was elucidated by using UV, IR, NMR- 1D and NMR-2D data and were compared with literature. Furthermore, coumpond (1) didn’t showed potential as antioxidant using DPPH assay.
