Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai relokasi hiposenter gempa bumi menggunakan metode coupled velocityhypocenter dan metode local earthquake tomography. Lokasi penelitian berada di daerah sekitar Sesar Palu Koro, Sulawesi. Dalam metode coupled velocity-hypocenter ini menggunakan prinsip metode Geiger dan didapatkan lokasi baru hiposenter gempa bumi, model kecepatan baru, dan koreksi stasiun dari daerah penelitian. Sedangkan dari metode local earthquake tomography akan didapatkan rekonstruksi struktur bawah permukaan bumi dengan menggunakan waveform dan travel time dari gelombang gempa bumi. Hasil yang didapatkan menggunakan metode coupled velocity-hypocenter adalah terjadi liniasi yang lebih baik dan sumber gempa bumi terkelompok. Sedangkan hasil yang didapatkan dari metode local earthquake tomography adalah distribusi hiposenter gempa bumi secara umum terdapat pada kedalaman 20 kilometer hingga 40 kilometer. ===================================================================================================== Research has been performed about hypocenter relocation of earthquakes using coupled velocity-hypocenter method and local earthquake tomography method. The location of research is in the area around Palu Koro Fault, Sulawesi. Coupled velocity-hypocenter method using the principle of Geiger method and get the new location of earthquake hypocenter, the new velocity model, and correction stations of regional research. Whereas local earthquake tomography method will get reconstruction of subsurface structure by using waveform and travel time of seismic waves. Results obtained from velocity-coupled hypocenter method is have a better continuity of earthquake event and the earthquakes are clustered. Whereas the results obtained from local earthquake tomography method is the distribution of earthquake hypocenter in general are at a depth of 20 kilometers to 40 kilometers.
