Abstract
Usaha yang dilakukan untuk menjaga kepercayaan
konsumen pada kualitas lampu GLS produksi PT. Philips adalah
dengan meningkatkan kualitas produknya. Kualitas lampu GLS
CML.

An effort to keep the consumer’s trust at the quality of GLS
lamps produced by PT. Philips is to improve the quality of the
products. Quality of GLS lamps is measured from three variables:
the lumen, wattage, and lifetime. There are two factors that
influence three response variables, namely PD (Pool Distance)
and CML (Constant Mounting Length). Desirability function that
used in this research is to obtain the optimum value of GLS lamps
quality simultaneously. Desirability function is formed based on
the predictive value of the response that obtained from the
response surface models. The combination of factor levels that
generate the best optimum response values obtained by
maximizing the global desirability function. PSO-CF is a
metaheuristic methods that maximize the value of global
desirability. The optimization value using boundary specification
companies compared with previous studies and showed that PSOCF
and previous methods have the same value of desirability
global, which is equal to 1. However, the PSO-CF is able to find
the value of the lumen and lifetime better. Whereas when used
boundary spesification based on the results of the experiment,
PSO-CF is able to generate a global value desirability 1,76 %
better than the previous method. The combination of factors levels
obtained are 24.1578 mm for PD and 27.2134 mm for CML.
