Abstract

Analisis kestabilan transien mempunyai peranan penting untuk membantu menjaga keamanan operasi sistem tenaga listrik. Ketika sistem mengalami gangguan, rele pengaman akan mendeteksi gangguan dan memerintahkan circuit breakers (CB) untuk membuka daerah yang mengalami gangguan. Akan tetapi proses ini tidak menjamin sistem untuk dapat kembali ke keadaan stabil. Hal ini dikarenakan terdapatnya critical clearing time (CCT), yaitu waktu kritis setelah terjadi gangguan. Sistem akan kembali ke keadaan stabil apabila CB memutus gangguan sebelum CCT. Dan sebaliknya, sistem tidak dapat kembali ke keadaan stabil apabila CB memutus gangguan setelah CCT. Perhitungan nilai CCT menggunakan metode konvensional time domain simulation (TDS) menyajikan hasil CCT dalam batas range stabil dan tidak stabil sistem setelah gangguan. Sedangkan metode yang diusulkan pada tugas akhir ini dapat menyajikan nilai CCT dari sistem multimesin secara langsung menggunakan batasan controlling unstable equilibrium point (CUEP). Sistem yang digunakan adalah 3 generator-9 bus Fouad Anderson dan sistem 6 generator-30 bus IEEE saat terhubung infinite bus maupun tidak. Pada pemodelan sistemnya ditambahkan kontroler berupa AVR dan governor. Meskipun demikian, waktu komputasi saat perhitungan CCT menggunakan metode critical trajectory terbukti tetap lebih cepat daripada metode konvensional TDS.

Transient stability analysis has an important role to keep the operation in power system safety. When disturbance occur in the system, it will be sensed by the protection relay and ordered the circuit breaker (CB) to open the disturbed area. However, this process does not guarantee the system to be able to return to the stable state. This is due to the presence of critical clearing time (CCT), which is a critical time after an interruption. The system will return to the stable state if the CB disconnect before CCT. And conversely, the system will lead to the unstable state if the CB disconnect after CCT. CCT value calculation using the conventional method time domain simulation (TDS) present the result of CCT within the range of stable and unstable system after disturbance. But the proposed method present the value of the CCT in multi machine system directly using boundary condition controlling unstable equilibrium point (CUEP). System used in this method are 3 machine-9 bus Fouad Anderson and 6 machine-30 bus IEEE when connected to an infinite bus or not. While modelling the system, controller is added in the form AVR and governor. However, the computational time from the CCT calculations using critical trajectory proven remain faster than conventional methods TDS.
