Abstract

Internal corrosion merupakan jenis korosi yang terjadi di dalam pipa yang dapat mengakibatkan kebocoran karena dipengaruhi oleh kandungan gas korosif (CO2 dan H2S). Cara untuk mengatasi internal corrosion tersebut dengan dilakukan coating pada lapisan pipa. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisa hasil coating berdasarkan kekuatan adhesi dan tingkat blistering dengan variasi penambahan pelarut (5%, 15%, 25%). Dalam metode coatingnya sesuai standart dari data sheet cat epoksi menggunakan conventional spray dan standard surface preparation menggunakan Sa 2.5. Dari pengujian dan analisa didapatkan bahwa penambahan pelarut 5% memiliki daya lekat ya ng tertinggi yaitu 10,69 MPa sedangkan penambahan pelarut 25% memiliki nilai daya lekat sebesar 6,26 MPa . Penambahan pelarut 5% memilki tingkat blister yang paling baik dengan rating size no 8 dan persebaran blister sedikit (few). Hal tersebut didukung dengan pengujian morfologi SEM bahwa penambahan pelarut 5% ikatan antar muka antara substrat dan coating yang paling kuat. Karena semakin bertambahnya komposisi pelarut mengakibatkan daya lekat pada ikatan kohesif dan adhesive pada cat epoxy akan menurun. Pada pengujian GC -MS tidak ditemukan senyawa pembentuk epoxy resin. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa cat epoxy tidak terlarut didalam cairan avtur pada saat immers test selama 20 hari. ============= Internal corrosion is a type of corrosion that occurs in the pipe that can cause leakage because it is influenced by corrosive gas content (퐶푂2 and 퐻2푆). To overcome the internal corrosion is by making coating on the pipe layer.This research was conducted to analyze the coating results based on adhesion strength and blistering rate with variation of solvent addition (5%, 15%, 25%). The coating method is performed in accordance with the standard on epoxy paint data sheet using conventional spray and standard surface preparation using Sa 2.5. From the test and the analysis found that the addition of 5% solvent has the highest adhesiveness of 10.69 MPa while the addition of 25% solvent has a adhesion power value of 6.26 MPa. Addition of 5% solvent has the best blister level with rating size of no 8 and a few of blister spread. This is supported by SEM morphology testing that the addition of 5% solvent results in the strongest interfacial bond between the substrate and coating. As the composition of the solvent increases, the adhesiveness of the cohesive and adhesive bonds in the epoxy paint decreases. GC-MS testing found no epoxy resin-formin g compounds. This shows that epoxy paint is not dissolved in aviation fluid at the time of immers test for 20 days.
