Abstract

=============== Video transmission security system is a system that capable to secure transmission by randomizing the image before its transmitted. This security system then applied to Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). In the UAV, the transmission system is required because all the data that UAV sends is open and accessible to everyone. Images from cameras mounted on UAVs are processed by software on Raspberry by cutting into sections according to user requirements, then the pieces are randomly arranged using the Linear Feedback Shift Register (LFSR) algorithm. LFSR uses a seed that acts like a key to set the pattern of randomization. Then the randomized image is sent using Radio Transmitter with 5.8 GHz carrier frequency. Because the random image must be read properly by the user then it needs to be done the reconstruction or commonly called decryption. Transmission of video received by the user on the ground station converted into a USB standard by Video Grabber to then be processed by Raspberry. Several tests and analyzes have been conducted to check the quality of the randomized images as well as the decrypted images and to test the latency to measure the length of the process of receiving the image and the decryption process. The test results show that the similarity level between the original and the scrambled images is 3.94 percent. While the similarity between the original image with the results of decryption or reconstruction performed for 98.24 percent. Latency test results show that the length of the process of receiving images and decryption is 2.2 seconds
