Abstract

Kebakaran yang disebabkan oleh korsleting listrik tidak terlepas dari adanya busur api listrik yang terjadi ketika kabel yang memiliki beda potensial saling terhubung/bersentuhan. Peralatan pengaman tidak dapat mendeteksi karena arus yang sangat tinggi dan durasi terjadinya gangguan sangat cepat. Tugas Akhir ini akan mendeteksi dan mengetahui karakteristik arus arcing, pengaruh beban dengan variasi THD dan variasi cos ⱷ pada 3 kondisi yaitu kondisi normal, switching dan arcing pada tegangan rendah. Karakteristik sinyal arus dapat dilihat dan dianalisa menggunakan transformasi wavelet dan diolah melalui software DIAdem. Berdasarkan hasil eksperimen, untuk membedakan kondisi switching dan arcing adalah menggunakan threshold arus high frequency 2A dan jumlah titik gangguan sebanyak 15 titik gangguan yang melebihi threshold arus. Perubahan nilai THD berpengaruh pada nilai arus HF kondisi switching dan normal ketika menggunakan beban variasi THD. Pada koondisi arcing perubahan nilai THD tidak berpengaruh terhadap arus HF serta jumlah titik gangguan. Sedangkan perubahan nilai cos ⱷ tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai arus HF dan jumlah titik gangguan, tetapi jumlah serabut yang terjadi kontak mempengaruhi pada banyaknya jumlah titik gangguan pada kondisi arcing. ============== Fire caused by power short can’t be separated from the existence of an arc flash that appears when the cable that have a different potentials was connected . Protection equipment can’t detect this because of the very high current and short duration of the fault. This final project will detect and figure the characteristic of arcing current, effect of load with THD variation and cos ϕ variation on 3 conditions which are normal, switching, arcing on low voltage. Characteristic of current signal can be seen and analysed using wavelet transformation and processed by DIAdem software. According to the experiment result, to differentiate between switching and arcing condition can be done using high voltage current threshold 2A and 15 point of disturbances which exceed the current threshold. Changes on THD value affect the value of HF current on switching and normal condition when using THD load variation. On arcing condition, changes of THD has no effect on HF current and number of fault points. Meanwhile, changes on cos ϕ value has no effect on HF current and number of fault points, but the number of contacted fibres affect the number of fault points on arcing condition.
