Abstract
Pondasi abutment dengan tiang pancang diameter 40 cm sebanyak 140 buah dan kedalaman tiang 24 meter.================ Construction of toll road Terbanggi Besar - Kayu Agung in STA 48 + 300 to STA 48 + 550 through river Tulang Bawang with 150 m wide river, so it is necessary planning bridge to pass the river is Tulang Bawang Bridge. Tulang Bawang Bridge has a total span of 150 m and behind each abutment will be planned an approach with high as 8.5 m. The approach of bridge stands on the ground of dominant soft clay with NSPT less than 10 until 15 m depth. The bottom soil has a low bearing capacity that can occur sliding on approach and has a high settlement that can occur to differential settlement. An alternative method to improve and reinforcement of embankment soil is required in order to be able to withstand the load so that sliding and consolidation do not occur.
In this Final Project lower structure of the bridge will be planned 2 piers and 2 abutments. Planning of bridge abutment should be analyzed high scouring aimed to abutment safe against scouring. The approach of bridge is planned with 2 variations of slope that is upright embankment and sloping embankment (slope 1: 2). The bottom soil condition is not good then planned ground soil improvement for approach of bridge with preloading which combined with PVD and added with reinforcement. Reinforcement on upright embankment using geotextile wall and micropile. Reinforcement on sloping embankment is a variation between geotextile or stone column. The reinforcement aims to increase the bearing capacity of the soil and to overcome sliding. The alternative analysis will be reviewed from the cost of the economical material.
The result of reinforcing slope embankment is obtained the need of geotextile is 55 layers. For the longitudinal reinforcement obtained need as many as 20 layers of geotextile walls. Result of reinforcement with stone column obtained need 16 units of stone column (2 sides) with the depth of stone column is 12 meters. The result of reinforcement of upright embankment obtained the need of geotextile wall is 20 layers. For the longitudinal reinforcement obtained need as many as 20 layers of geotextile walls. For micropile reinforcement obtained needs are 12 units/ m (2 sides). The depth of the micropile is 17 meters.
Based on two approach planning selected the upright embankment plan because it has less material cost. The foundation of abutment is pile with diameter 40 cm as many as 140 units with the depth of the pile is 24 meters.
